Ever since Xbox decided to go multiplatform, people have been eagerly awaiting the release of exclusive Xbox games on other platforms. However, there hasn’t been much information regarding which titles will be ported.

Halo, a prominent franchise, has been rumored to be coming to PlayStation in the future. There have been numerous rumors and leaks suggesting that a Halo 1 remake for the PS5 is in development.

Recently, a Halo leaker revealed that 343 Industries wants to remake the entire Halo trilogy for the PS5 so PlayStation fans can enjoy the series. The trilogy includes Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo 3.

Importance: Now that Xbox has decided to go multiplatform and Halo may potentially come to PlayStation consoles, 343 Industries would need to appeal to the PlayStation audience to sell the game on the platform, as 343 Industries’ recent titles have not been very satisfying.

The leaker also revealed that instead of porting the Master Chief Collection to the PS5, reselling the entire series would have higher revenue potential. While 343 Industries would be in full control of the games, they would use contractors and outsourcing.

However, there is some unfortunate and disappointing news: 343 Industries might skip multiplayer, which would be very unfair to PlayStation players, as they wouldn’t get to experience the multiplayer mode like Xbox players did.

Any Halo player would argue that the multiplayer is one of the best parts of the Halo games, and not including it would be an injustice to the game’s legacy and the PlayStation players.

We hope they reconsider their decision and implement multiplayer in the games. Moreover, if they opt for a single-player mode only, we hope they can at least deliver a great remake to somewhat make up for the absence of multiplayer.

Who would have thought that a major Xbox exclusive, which has been the face of Xbox for a long time, would be ported to PlayStation, Xbox’s rival? But it’s great for gamers, as we all get to enjoy the games.

We advise you to take this information with a grain of salt, as nothing has been confirmed yet. However, if the news turns out to be true, we are excited for the Halo series on the PlayStation platform and whether 343 Industries would be able to redeem themselves or not.
