Fortnite has consistently introduced new weapons, events, and groundbreaking collaborations, while also undergoing significant gameplay transformations. Its next big collaboration is with Godzilla, and we now have our hands on some more details regarding the upcoming collaboration.

A recent leak from a prominent Fortnite leaker HYPEX has revealed that players will soon wield the awe-inspiring power of Godzilla with a dedicated Mythic item. This extraordinary item allows players to transform into the colossal Kaiju, granting them immense strength and devastating abilities.

As Godzilla, players can unleash devastating stomps, powerful beams, earth-shattering roars, and more. This Godzilla Mythic joins a prestigious lineage of powerful Mythic items that have significantly impacted past Fortnite seasons.

The arrival of this Mythic item follows weeks of tantalizing teases and hints of a Godzilla-themed event, culminating in Godzilla’s prominent feature in Fortnite’s Chapter 6 key art. Speculation has also swirled around the potential appearance of King Kong, adding fuel to the fire of anticipation for an epic monster showdown.

The 2022 release of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire further fueled these rumors, and now, at least one of these legendary titans is finally stomping onto the Fortnite island.

The introduction of Godzilla mythics in Fortnite does raise some concerns among players, as past overpowered items like the Thanos Gauntlet and Infinity Blade caused significant uproar, sparking worries about potential imbalance.

Nevertheless, players are currently immersed in Fortnite’s Chapter 6 Season 1, which has brought significant changes to the map, weapon pool, and overarching narrative. In addition to a diverse array of new firearms, players can now acquire powerful swords and elemental Oni masks, each granting unique abilities.

The map has also seen the addition of new points of interest, with the newly constructed Seaport City bridge rumored to play a pivotal role in the Godzilla event. To celebrate this momentous occasion, players can add two unique Godzilla skins to their Fortnite locker starting January 17th.
