It was quite unfortunate for Insomniac Games when a lot of their data was leaked. One of the key leaks from that major event in the developer’s history was an alpha build of Wolverine, which was leaked everywhere and almost anybody could get their hands on it.

The game has been plagued by leaks from all directions since the breach, yet no official information about Wolverine has been released. Insomniac Games recently explained the reason for this silence.

Someone on Twitter recently replied to one of their tweets asking about information regarding the Wolverine game, to which Insomniac Games replied that they will share news regarding the game when the time is right and the right time isn’t now.

Why it matters: Insomniac Games have cemented their status in the gaming industry through various blockbuster titles, especially in the Spider-Man series. Now that they are moving onto another superhero in the Marvel’s universe, fans are really excited to see how they transfer their expertise from Spider-Man to Wolverine.

The game has an alleged release window of 2026. Looking at the far-off release window, it is only fair that Insomniac Games wouldn’t be ready to reveal any information about it as it is too soon.

However, next year, we might get to see much more official information regarding the game as it will be much closer to its release window, and that time frame seems pretty common for developers to start revealing little bits of information about their games.

Many believed that the data breach had a massive impact on Sony and especially Insomniac Games as a lot of their information regarding their upcoming games was leaked. However, Insomniac Games later revealed that while the data breach took an emotional toll, it had no impact on Wolverine’s development.

We hope that Insomniac Games recovers from the massive breach that damaged the developer quite a lot, and we hope that they can keep delivering great games like the Spider-Man series.

The developer has impressed us all with their amazing depiction of Spider-Man, and we cannot wait to see them move towards other superheroes like Wolverine. We hope to see them doing a lot of other superheroes with their accurate depictions in the future, but as of right now, we all have our eyes on their upcoming game, Wolverine.
