Fortnite players can now claim another free Chapter 7 Season 4 reward through the Battle Royale lobby. The newly active DustInTheWind Lobby Hack grants 5,000 Sprite Dust when entered through the Admin Panel, with multiple current code trackers and player reports confirming successful redemptions. Epic Games has not announced a specific expiration date for the code.

DustInTheWind is a Lobby Hack rather than one of the directional Cheat Codes entered at consoles during a match. Players can redeem it from the Admin Panel in the Battle Royale lobby before queueing, after which the 5,000 Sprite Dust is added to the account. The reward does not require eliminations, completing a hidden challenge or visiting a particular location on the island.

Sprite Dust is one of the main currencies tied to Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override’s Sprite systems. Epic’s official season overview explains that players can spend Sprite Dust on Loot Hacks, which modify Chest drops by adding bonus items that are otherwise unavailable through normal loot. Dust is also connected to maintaining and interacting with the expanded Sprite collection introduced throughout the season.

That makes a 5,000-Dust giveaway more useful than a purely cosmetic Lobby Hack for players actively engaging with Override’s progression. Fortnite is also preparing to expand the Sprite pool with new Loot Hacker variants, part of a wider week of Mega Man and Sprite-focused events running through this section of September. Saving the reward gives players additional currency to use as those new variants and Loot Hack options become available.

DustInTheWind is not the first recent Lobby Hack to hand out the same amount of Sprite Dust. WhereIsTheDustyTree also grants 5,000, while YourThoughtsAreMine is associated with another 5,000-Dust reward alongside Geno-related unlocks once its separate quest requirements are met. The latter has been tied to Void Master Geno and a 5,000 Sprite Dust reward, making it a more involved claim than the new code.

The new reward also arrives shortly after NOPROLLAMA became active. That separate Lobby Hack gives players a Llama Supply Drop Gizmo rather than Sprite Dust and is currently associated with a September 7 to September 14 redemption window. DustInTheWind does not appear to share that stated cutoff, so players should treat the two codes as separate rewards with different availability conditions.

Epic introduced Lobby Hacks as part of Override’s broader “break the rules” theme. Some codes unlock resources such as Sprite Dust, while others provide Gizmos, Sprite variants or temporary transformations inside the lobby. Fortnite’s current Battle Royale description specifically tells players to hunt down Lobby Hacks for bonus rewards, although individual codes are often discovered through promotions, community clues or live testing rather than a single official master list.

Players should also distinguish Lobby Hacks from the Loot Hack system despite the similar names. Lobby Hacks are entered through the Admin Panel to obtain a reward or activate a special effect, whereas Loot Hacks are purchased with Sprite Dust and influence what can appear from Chests during Battle Royale matches. DustInTheWind therefore provides currency that can later be spent within a separate part of Override’s progression system.

Current trackers list DustInTheWind as active and awarding exactly 5,000 Sprite Dust. Player reports from September 7 also show the code successfully redeeming through the lobby, providing additional confirmation beyond the initial HYPEX post that credited LootTrackerFN with noticing it. No official Epic statement currently specifies how long it will remain available.

For now, the process is straightforward: open Fortnite’s Battle Royale lobby, access the Admin Panel and enter DustInTheWind. Successful redemption grants 5,000 Sprite Dust, giving players another free resource drop during Chapter 7 Season 4: Override. Because no expiry has been confirmed, claiming it while it is known to be active is the safest option.
