Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes DLC character Zohar will launch on September 15 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC, with the Nintendo Switch version following on September 23. The new dates give the fourth additional DLC fighter a firm release schedule after Arc System Works and French-Bread previously delayed her into mid-September. Zohar will be available as a standalone character and is also included through the game’s existing Season Pass.

Zohar was originally announced in May with a broad summer 2026 release window before receiving a full character trailer during EVO 2026 in June. Arc System Works later confirmed on September 4 that development and balance work were still underway and that her release had shifted to around the middle of the month. The newly announced dates now lock in the character’s arrival, although Switch players will have to wait just over a week longer than those on PlayStation and PC.

Known as the “Doppelganger,” Zohar is designed as a fast close-range fighter built around sharp claw attacks. Her defining mechanic involves a doppelganger capable of mirroring her movements, allowing her to extend pressure and create sequences of rapid attacks against opponents. Arc System Works describes her as a speed-focused character, giving the existing roster another highly mobile option built around close-quarters offense rather than slower, heavier attacks.

Zohar also has established ties to Under Night In-Birth’s wider story. She was one of the leaders of the Bankikai alongside Ogre and Strix, and her background centers on the aftermath of a confrontation with Amnesia and the power of the Abyss. The character’s search for Strix forms an important part of her personal story, while the doppelganger concept is tied directly into both her identity and her fighting style.

Her arrival is expected alongside a major update for Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes. Arc System Works previously said the update would include broader balance adjustments covering combo damage, gauge gain and several core system mechanics, including Steer Ender and Throw Escape. Individual move properties across the roster are also being reviewed as part of an effort to limit power creep and rebalance the game’s competitive environment.

The update also brings changes to ranked play and training features. High-level matches are set to gain a separate Rating Point system in addition to the existing RIP ranking, alongside dedicated rankings for stronger players. Training and Replay modes are being expanded with more detailed frame-data displays, including additional opponent information and gap-frame visibility, while Mission Mode will add a way for players to review previous attempts.

Zohar follows Uzuki, Ogre and Izumi as post-launch DLC additions to Sys:Celes. The game originally launched in January 2024 for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC, introducing the first numbered sequel in the Under Night In-Birth series alongside rollback netcode, new mechanics and an expanded roster. Since then, Arc System Works and French-Bread have continued supporting it with additional fighters and system-level updates rather than limiting post-launch support to character releases alone.

The character is priced at $4.99 individually, while the Season Pass has previously been sold for $9.99 and includes the game’s DLC fighters. Players will still need the base game and the latest software update before using the additional character. Platform storefront availability may vary slightly depending on region as the September 15 and September 23 rollout begins.

With the release dates now confirmed, Zohar’s prolonged summer launch window is finally coming to an end. PS5, PS4 and PC players will be able to add her to the roster on September 15, while Nintendo Switch users will receive the DLC on September 23. The accompanying balance and system changes should make the update relevant even for players who do not plan to purchase the new fighter.
