Rocket League Season 24 launches on September 23 at 9 AM PT with several new competitive features, limited-time events and a refreshed Rocket Pass. Psyonix has confirmed additions including Honor Duels, Black Market Trade-Ins, customizable scoreboards, updated keyboard-and-mouse controls and exclusive rewards for players finishing inside the Top 100 ranked leaderboards. The season also introduces Bullet Ball, a Persona 5 event and three new car bodies through the Rocket Pass.

Honor Duel lets players challenge someone from their current match to a one-on-one rematch. If the other player accepts, both competitors are placed directly into a duel using the same mode once the existing match finishes, while everyone else in the lobby can choose to spectate. The feature effectively creates an in-game way to settle competitive rivalries without requiring players to manually organize another private match.

Season 24 also expands Rocket League’s item economy with Black Market Trade-Ins. Players will be able to exchange three duplicate Black Market items for a different Black Market item, with the resulting reward guaranteed to be either an item they do not already own or an uncollected painted variant. That gives longtime players another use for high-rarity duplicates that would otherwise remain unused in their inventories.

Ranked play is receiving new incentives as well. Finishing among the Top 100 on the 3v3, 2v2 or 1v1 Soccar leaderboards will award exclusive titles based on final placement, with different rewards for Top 100, Top 50 and progressively higher positions down to the number-one spot. End-of-match presentations are also changing, with an MVP-focused podium that highlights the match’s top performer and plays their Goal Explosion in the open net behind the team.

Scoreboards are becoming more customizable, allowing players to choose four statistics to display alongside the score for each mode. Psyonix says almost all statistics currently available through the career section of a player’s profile can be selected. Keyboard-and-mouse controls are also being modernized with new default bindings, additional settings and a Free Look Camera that can be aimed independently, with the camera option also available to controller users.

Two limited-time events begin alongside the season on September 23. Run it Up continues through December 9 with 14 challenges offering Nova Collection Drops and rewards including the Ronin GXT Car Body, Laser-Light Goal Explosion, Neural Network Decal, InfoSec Boost and Fissure Trail. It also includes stat-tracking player titles that display a player’s running totals for Season 24 wins and MVP awards.

Bullet Ball runs from September 23 through October 6 and turns Rocket League into an elimination-focused arena mode. A fast-moving homing ball selects a target and destroys that player’s car on impact unless they redirect or interrupt it. Players can dodge forward to parry the ball toward a new target, time a backflip to temporarily freeze it or grab another player while targeted to transfer the danger to them.

Persona 5 arrives shortly afterward with a limited-time event running September 25 through October 12. The event includes free challenge rewards such as Trickstar wheels, Morgana-themed boost and trail items, a Phantom Thieves universal decal, Joker topper and TAKE YOUR HEART player title. A Mona Car Bundle and additional Persona 5 rewards will also be available during the crossover period.

Season 24’s Rocket Pass introduces the Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 50 using the Octane hitbox, Dominus GT 76 using the Dominus hitbox and Pareto 5S using the Breakout hitbox. Additional rewards include Forewarned holographic wheels, the Synapse Boost, Vextor Decal, Treadsparks Trail and Anipop Goal Explosion. A new two-stage reactive Goal Explosion will separately arrive in the Item Shop on September 26, changing form after a player’s second goal.

Rocket League Season 24 begins September 23 at 9 AM PT. The season arrives while the ongoing Kingdom Hearts event remains active, giving Rocket League a dense schedule of crossover content alongside its larger competitive and progression changes.
