Fortnite’s competitive plans for 2027 are reportedly taking shape, with dataminer FireMonkey claiming that Epic Games has outlined several new and returning tournament initiatives. The reported roadmap includes the return of the Fortnite Reload Championship, a new Zero Build Reload Championship and a recurring Arenas Fight Night. FireMonkey also says the format for FNCS 2027 will be revealed at the end of the current Global Championship broadcast.

The information comes from FireMonkey, who posted the details during the Fortnite Global Championship on September 27. The report lists four developments: the Reload Championship returning, a Zero Build version of the Reload Championship being introduced, Arenas Fight Night becoming part of the competitive calendar, and the 2027 FNCS format being revealed after the presentation. Epic has not yet published a corresponding detailed 2027 roadmap on its public competitive schedule, so the individual announcements should be treated as reported information rather than a complete official roadmap.

The Reload Championship would mark a continuation of Fortnite’s investment in its faster-paced Reload format. Epic’s competitive ecosystem already includes Reload tournaments alongside standard Battle Royale and Zero Build events, while the current competitive site also carries footage and results from the 2026 Reload Championship. A dedicated Zero Build Reload championship would expand that structure further by giving the no-build variant its own major competitive event rather than limiting it to individual cups and ranked competitions.

The reported Arenas Fight Night would represent another addition to Fortnite’s competitive lineup. FireMonkey describes it as a recurring event, although the post does not provide details about its format, schedule, qualification requirements or prize structure. Those details will be important for determining how the new event fits alongside FNCS, Reload competitions and Fortnite’s existing ranked tournament system.

The FNCS announcement is also connected to an existing decision process for next year’s championship. Epic has already asked players to choose between Duos and Trios for FNCS Battle Royale 2027 through an in-game voting experience, with the result scheduled to be announced during the Global Championship. That vote is separate from the newly reported competitive initiatives, but it means the eventual 2027 FNCS structure will be determined alongside a broader reshaping of Fortnite’s competitive calendar. natural |FNCS 2027 Duos or Trios vote

The timing is significant because the Global Championship is serving as the stage for several pieces of Fortnite’s competitive future. Epic’s official schedule confirms that the 2026 Global Championship is taking place across September 26 and 27, with the tournament being played in Duos. The event is therefore providing a natural venue for Epic to introduce plans for the following competitive season while the current championship is being decided.

For now, the Reload Championship and Zero Build Reload Championship reports should be regarded as newly reported competitive plans rather than finalized event schedules. FireMonkey’s post does not specify dates, formats or prize pools for those competitions, and the same is true of the reported Arenas Fight Night. More concrete information from Epic would be needed to establish exactly how each event will operate.

If the reported roadmap is accurate, however, Fortnite’s 2027 competitive calendar will extend beyond the traditional FNCS structure with dedicated competitions for multiple versions of the game. The immediate remaining question is whether FNCS 2027 will use Duos or Trios, with that decision expected to be disclosed as the Global Championship concludes.
