The Miami Heat have officially announced a special “A Night in Vice City” event at Kaseya Center on November 18, one day before Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026. The team says it will effectively become Vice City for the night, with a custom court, a completely reimagined uniform and additional arena activations tied to Rockstar Games’ upcoming release. The Heat describes the event as a historic partnership built around GTA VI’s return to Vice City.
The November 18 game is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET at Kaseya Center in Miami. For the event, the Heat will play on a one-night-only Vice City hardwood floor designed specifically for the collaboration. The team has also confirmed that players will wear a newly designed Vice City uniform rather than simply reusing one of its existing Vice-themed jerseys.
The arena presentation will extend beyond the court and uniforms. Miami says additional activities will begin from Opening Night, with unique game-night activations planned specifically for November 18. Full details of those experiences have not yet been revealed, so the extent of Rockstar branding, in-arena entertainment and GTA VI-specific content remains to be seen.

The crossover is particularly fitting because Rockstar’s fictional Vice City is heavily inspired by Miami and remains one of the defining locations in the Grand Theft Auto series. GTA VI returns the franchise to a modern version of Vice City within the wider state of Leonida, with Rockstar describing it as the setting at the center of Jason and Lucia’s story. The studio has continued expanding its portrayal of the region through new Leonida details and screenshots ahead of launch.
Miami already has a long-running visual identity built around its own “Vice” branding. The Heat first introduced its Vice City Edition uniforms during the 2017-18 NBA season, drawing heavily from Miami’s neon pink-and-blue aesthetic. The November 18 event takes that established basketball branding and explicitly connects it with Rockstar’s fictional Vice City for the first time.
The partnership also fits into a much larger marketing push surrounding GTA VI. Rockstar has already opened pre-orders, released new promotional material and introduced several physical products around the game, including the official GTA VI Vice City Collection. That premium set is separate from the Miami Heat collaboration but reflects the broader emphasis Rockstar is placing on Vice City branding ahead of release.
A dedicated line of Miami Heat Vice City apparel is also being sold through the team’s store. The initial collection includes shirts and other Court Culture merchandise, with the Heat indicating that more products are still to come. The team is also collecting sign-ups for fans who want updates on the November 18 event and the official game-night uniform.
GTA VI itself is scheduled to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has confirmed that pre-loading begins on November 12, while the physical edition will also become available that day with a download code inside the box rather than a game disc. The November 18 Heat event therefore lands directly on launch eve, making it one of the final major promotional activations before players can access the game.
The timing also gives the collaboration more weight than a conventional sports-themed promotion. Rather than simply placing GTA VI branding inside the arena, the Heat is changing its court, uniform and game-night identity around Vice City for a single event. With additional arena activations still to be announced, the November 18 game is shaping up as one of the most visible real-world GTA VI tie-ins ahead of release.
