The gaming industry often sees major talent shifts that spark curiosity among fans and raise questions about the future of ongoing projects.
When a veteran developer with experience on blockbuster franchises like Rainbow Six Siege and Shadow of the Tomb Raider makes a sudden change, it naturally draws attention — especially when it involves a studio still working on its debut title.
Fairgames Director leaves Haven Studios after serving for more than 4.5 years. Daniel Drapeau, one of the founding members of Haven Studios and Game Director of Fairgames, has quietly exited the PlayStation-owned developer.
Instead of an official announcement, Drapeau simply updated his LinkedIn profile, revealing he has joined WB Games Montreal as Creative Director in August 2025.
Importance: Fairgames Director leaves Have Studios, raising questions about the future of PlayStation’s new live-service title, while WB Games Montreal gains a seasoned creative lead.

A Founding Member Of Haven Bids Farewell
Drapeau’s departure marks a significant change for Haven Studios, as he was part of the team since its inception in 2021 and helped shape Fairgames, the studio’s first major live-service project.
His LinkedIn update shows he has transitioned to WB Games Montreal, a studio known for its work on Batman titles such as Gotham Knights and Arkham Origins.
Key Contributions To Iconic Franchises
Prior to his time at Haven, Drapeau built and impressive resume across the industry: he was lead Designer on Rainbow Six Siege, Gameplay Director on Shadow of the Tomb Raider—praised for its puzzle design despite some controversy—and also contributed to Splinter Cell: Backlist.

With this move, WB Games gains an experienced developer well-versed in both in both live-service and narrative-driven design, while Haven faces questions about the ongoing development of Fairgames following the exit of such a key creative figure.
