Techland, the developers behind Dying Light, seems to have a lot on their plate as they are currently working on two new games, including a new IP, while also maintaining active post-launch support for Dying Light 2.

The developer has a solid track record, having worked on successful franchises like Dying Light, Call of Juarez, and Dead Island. However, their reputation took a slight hit with Dying Light 2, a game that, while great, had its shortcomings.

As they continue to support Dying Light 2 with ongoing updates and an upcoming DLC, Techland is also focused on a new fantasy game in development, which they claim is their biggest title to date.

Importance: Techland has been responsible for some of the most popular games in the industry, so a project that surpasses the scale of the Dying Light series is likely to attract significant public attention.

    Techland – Animator Job Listing

This information comes from job listings posted by Techland for various positions, with most of them stating the above information.

There isn’t much known about the title so far, but Techland has revealed that the game will be an open-world action RPG with a compelling storyline. While Techland has some experience in the RPG genre, they aren’t primarily known for it, making this new title a potential game-changer for the studio.

It’s encouraging to see Techland managing multiple projects while continuing to support Dying Light 2. However, there are concerns about the heavy workload, especially since one of the upcoming titles is reportedly their biggest project to date.

We hope everything goes smoothly with their development, and that post-launch support for Dying Light 2 remains strong. We’re excited to see how these new projects unfold, but for now, all we can do is wait and see.
