CONTROL Resonant’s Steam achievement list has surfaced ahead of the game’s September 24 release, potentially exposing progression and story details more than two weeks before launch. The list appeared through achievement-tracking service Exophase, while Steam itself already indicates that Remedy Entertainment’s sequel contains 49 achievements. Players hoping to avoid spoilers should be cautious about reading the individual names and descriptions.
The newly visible entries appear to span several parts of the game, including story progression, combat challenges, exploration and encounters with major enemies. Some descriptions potentially reveal information Remedy has not highlighted in its pre-release marketing, so this article will not reproduce the full list or identify unrevealed characters and encounters. The important development is that the achievements are now publicly accessible despite CONTROL Resonant remaining in its prerelease state on Steam.
The 49-achievement count itself was visible before the full list surfaced. Steam users had noticed by late August that selecting CONTROL Resonant as a featured game on a profile could display its total achievement count even though the individual achievements were still unavailable through the normal storefront interface. The Exophase appearance now provides substantially more information than that earlier numerical clue.

Remedy has already publicly discussed many of the systems reflected by the achievement structure. CONTROL Resonant follows Dylan Faden as its sole playable protagonist and moves much of the action outside the Oldest House into a paranaturally distorted Manhattan. The sequel shifts away from Jesse Faden’s gun-focused combat toward an action-RPG structure built around Dylan’s shapeshifting melee weapon, the Aberrant, supernatural abilities and deeper character builds.
Major enemies known as Resonants are an important part of that progression. Remedy has explained that defeating these bosses can grant Dylan new supernatural abilities, while the wider game also includes World Quests, Bounties, collectibles and optional exploration across Manhattan’s connected zones. That means achievements tied to bosses, progression and side content are not surprising on their own, although specific names or descriptions can reveal considerably more context than Remedy intended players to have before release.
New Game+ will also be available, carrying over Aberrant upgrades, supernatural abilities, Talents, Artifacts and other character progression. Remedy says the mode expands build possibilities with additional talent nodes, more flexible ability combinations and an extra Artifact slot. Some encounters can also behave differently on subsequent playthroughs, while World Quests can include different outcomes depending on player choices.
The achievement leak arrives as other backend information for the game has begun appearing ahead of launch. A recent PlayStation database update reportedly revealed CONTROL Resonant’s PS5 download size and preload dates, another sign that platform infrastructure is being prepared for release. Achievement data appearing during the same period is therefore consistent with a game approaching its final launch configuration rather than evidence of a delay or unexpected release change.
CONTROL Resonant is officially scheduled to launch worldwide on September 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Remedy has also confirmed that a Mac version will follow later in 2026. Pre-orders are already open, and the Steam database continues to list September 24 as the PC release date.
For achievement hunters, the surfaced list provides an early indication of what completing CONTROL Resonant will require. For everyone else, however, the safest option may be to avoid the individual entries until launch, particularly because some appear to relate to story progression, characters and major encounters. Remedy has not officially published or discussed the complete achievement list, even though the 49-achievement total and associated Steam data are now visible ahead of release.
