NIS America has confirmed that Prinny Party: Going Overboard! will launch in the West on November 11, 2026. The four-player party RPG is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and PC, with the western release landing one day before its November 12 launch in Japan and Asia. A demo is also available ahead of release.

Developed by Nippon Ichi Software, Prinny Party: Going Overboard! combines a board game structure with command-based RPG mechanics and the chaotic style associated with the Disgaea series. Players move around a board, earn experience, improve their equipment and complete quests while preparing to fight the Supreme Overboard and his Protago-Knights. The catch is that defeating a boss does not automatically make someone the winner.

Once a boss goes down, the group has to bring it back to the starting point. Only the player who actually returns with the defeated boss receives the victory, turning what begins as a cooperative fight into a competition between the same players who just worked together. That structure encourages temporary alliances, betrayals and direct interference as everyone tries to take control of the boss before reaching the finish.

Turns are built around actions such as moving, attacking and using items, with slot-machine results determining how those choices play out. Different board spaces can improve or reduce stats, trigger encounters, sell useful items or create other events. Players can also attack each other, place traps and use the game’s systems to disrupt opponents before or after a boss appears.

Board development is another major part of the game. Landing on certain spaces lets players construct facilities such as hospitals and armories, while stacking the same facility increases its rank and strengthens its effects. Those buildings are not exclusive to the player who created them, however, meaning rivals can benefit from the same infrastructure unless someone finds a way to turn the board in their favor.

The Assembly system adds another layer of unpredictability. Players can attempt to pass bills that alter the rules, including changes to slot-machine behavior, turn order and combat advantages. NIS America has highlighted examples such as dramatically increasing damage, gaining another move or constructing powerful cannons, giving players ways to reshape a match beyond standard movement and combat.

The playable roster includes Prinny alongside familiar Disgaea-style classes such as Warrior, Magician, Archer and Bandit. Characters begin with different statistics and slot layouts, so each one approaches the board differently. Prinny is intentionally positioned as one of the weaker choices, reflecting the mascot’s long-running role in Nippon Ichi Software’s games.

Multiplayer support varies by platform. Nintendo Switch 2 supports GameShare, allowing one owner to share the game locally with other compatible Nintendo systems or through GameChat. Steam supports Remote Play Together, meaning invited players do not each need their own copy, while NIS America says standard online multiplayer is not supported on Switch, PlayStation 5 or Windows.

The newly available western demo includes both a shortened standard experience and a more demanding Super-Spicy challenge. The standard mode allows players to choose from Prinny, Warrior, Archer or Ninja while experimenting with a limited selection of building and Assembly options. The harder challenge restricts players more heavily and is designed around a tougher version of the game’s systems.

Prinny Party: Going Overboard! launches November 11, 2026 in the West for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and PC. With its combination of board-game progression, RPG combat, construction, rule-changing votes and deliberately unstable cooperation, the game is built around making alliances useful only until someone sees a better opportunity to win.
