Netmarble and Netmarble Neo have released two new Solo Leveling: KARMA trailers for Tokyo Game Show 2026, offering a broader look at the upcoming roguelite action RPG’s world, characters and combat. The new Game Overview video focuses on how Hunters and Shadows fight across the battlefield, while a separate Cinematic trailer expands on the original story surrounding Sung Jinwoo’s 27-year war. Solo Leveling: KARMA remains in development for PC, iOS and Android with a 2026 release window.

The Game Overview trailer serves as a wider introduction to the project rather than focusing on one mechanic. It moves through the game’s universe, its playable combat systems and the different characters involved in battles, with particular attention paid to the distinct fighting styles available through Hunters and Shadows. Netmarble has designed KARMA as an isometric action RPG in which individual runs can develop differently depending on the weapons and upgrades players choose.

Combat allows Sung Jinwoo to use multiple weapon types rather than remaining tied to a single moveset. Earlier footage has shown him fighting with weapons including daggers, scythes and bows, while players can combine equipment with buffs and other combat upgrades to shape their builds during each run. The Shadow Army also participates in combat, bringing one of Solo Leveling’s defining abilities into the game’s roguelite structure.

The new Cinematic trailer shifts attention back to the story. Solo Leveling: KARMA explores the period after Jinwoo uses the Cup of Reincarnation and enters the Dimensional Gap, covering a 27-year conflict with the Monarchs that was not fully depicted in the original story. The latest footage again presents Jinwoo fighting alone through that prolonged war while suggesting that another force is manipulating Hunters who have been transformed by an unnatural power.

Those enemies have previously been introduced by Netmarble as Mutated Hunters, original opponents created by the Monarchs specifically to eliminate Jinwoo. Their presence creates an unusual conflict because familiar-looking Hunters can return as enemies rather than allies. Netmarble has positioned them as one of the additions that lets KARMA expand the Solo Leveling universe without simply retelling events already covered by the anime.

Antares, the Monarch of Destruction, is also central to the game’s expanded narrative. Netmarble revealed earlier this year that Troy Baker will provide Antares’ English voice, while Aleks Le returns as the English voice of Sung Jinwoo. Previous promotional material has placed the two characters directly against one another while introducing additional characters created specifically for KARMA’s original storyline.

The TGS 2026 showing also gives attendees a chance to play Solo Leveling: KARMA rather than only watch the new footage. Netmarble is presenting a playable demo at Makuhari Messe from September 17 through September 21, allowing visitors to experience battles inside the Dimensional Gap and try the game’s roguelite systems firsthand. The company is exhibiting KARMA alongside Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi and Pearl in Blue.

Netmarble first unveiled Solo Leveling: KARMA as a new game built around an unexplored portion of the Solo Leveling timeline. Although it shares its characters and setting with the wider franchise, it is separate from Solo Leveling: ARISE and uses a different roguelite structure centered on repeated runs, evolving builds and isometric hack-and-slash combat. Netmarble Neo is handling development, with Netmarble publishing the title.

The two Tokyo Game Show trailers provide one of the clearest summaries yet of how those pieces fit together. The Game Overview footage emphasizes the variety between Hunters, Shadows and combat builds, while the Cinematic trailer continues developing the mystery surrounding the corrupted Hunters and Jinwoo’s unseen years in the Dimensional Gap. Solo Leveling: KARMA is currently scheduled to launch for PC and mobile platforms in 2026, although Netmarble has not announced a specific release date.
