Valor Mortis will launch at $39.99 when it arrives on October 13, with developer One More Level also confirming a $59.99 Deluxe Edition that includes a major story expansion planned for 2027. The studio announced the pricing and post-launch plans in a new statement outlining how it intends to position the first-person soulslike during a crowded fall release period. Valor Mortis is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

One More Level says it believes the game has the quality, visual fidelity and roughly 20-hour story needed to compete with more expensive releases, but still chose a lower entry price because of how many major games are competing for players’ time and money this fall. The standard edition will cost $39.99 in the US, €39.99 in Europe and 149.99 zÅ‚ in Poland. The studio is also skipping pre-orders, saying it wants players to be able to evaluate the completed game at launch before deciding whether to buy it.

The Deluxe Edition raises the price to $59.99, €59.99 or 199.99 zł and includes the 2027 story DLC alongside four weapon skin packs. One More Level describes the expansion as a major piece of story content set within the world of Valor Mortis rather than a smaller cosmetic add-on. The developer has not yet announced a specific release window for the expansion beyond 2027 or revealed how long the additional storyline will be.

One of the included cosmetic packs is the La Grande Armée Weapon Skin Pack, which covers weapons including the Pistol, Blunderbuss, Musket, Claymore, Rapier and Sabre. Three additional weapon skin packs are also planned between launch and the arrival of the story DLC. Players who only buy the standard edition will still receive post-launch support, with One More Level saying multiple free updates are planned for the weeks and months after release.

The pricing announcement gives a clearer picture of how Valor Mortis will be sold after the studio previously discussed its plans for long-term support. One More Level has experience extending its games after release through Ghostrunner and Ghostrunner 2, and the developer has said it wants to continue supporting Valor Mortis with both free content and optional paid additions. The newly confirmed 2027 expansion is the first major story-focused component of that plan to receive a release window.

Valor Mortis is a first-person soulslike set in a dark alternate version of the Napoleonic era. Players take the role of a soldier who rises from the dead and gains supernatural abilities while confronting grotesque enemies and uncovering the events behind his resurrection. The game combines deliberate melee combat, firearms and supernatural powers from a first-person perspective, distinguishing it from the third-person presentation more commonly associated with the genre.

The studio also recently moved the game’s launch from September 24 to October 13. One More Level explained that the original date placed Valor Mortis against several major releases and that the change was intended to give the new IP more room rather than being driven by a need for extensive additional development. That reasoning aligns with the new pricing statement, which again emphasizes the unusually competitive fall schedule.

Valor Mortis will launch October 13, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The standard edition will cost $39.99, while the $59.99 Deluxe Edition includes four weapon skin packs and the major story DLC planned for 2027, with additional free updates also scheduled after release.
