Ved: Recure will launch for PC via Steam on September 22, developer SummerClip has announced. The anime-style 3D action roguelite expands substantially beyond its earlier demo, with the full release including seven playable characters, 16 bosses, more than 150 buffs, over 50 pieces of equipment and the complete four-chapter main story. SummerClip is both developing and publishing the game.

The central setup follows an exhausted adult who returns home after another late night at work and buys their 1,000th game despite having lost much of their old enthusiasm for playing. After falling asleep, the protagonist wakes up inside that game world and must find a way back to reality. The story unfolds across four large stages, each built around its own environment and set of encounters.

Combat centers on seven characters with different mechanics, progression paths and playstyles. Rather than relying only on conventional numerical upgrades, Ved: Recure lets players attach buffs to specific actions such as Combo Finishers, Special Attacks, Dodge Counters and Parries. Performing those actions then activates the assigned effects, allowing players to create customized sequences through what SummerClip calls the Buff Chain system.

The full game contains more than 150 buffs compared with the smaller selection available in earlier demos. Those effects can be combined with more than 50 pieces of equipment, each potentially changing how a build functions. SummerClip says the system is designed to give players control over the balance between offense, defense and utility rather than funneling every run toward a small set of predetermined upgrades.

Boss battles are another major part of the structure. Ved: Recure includes 16 bosses across its four main chapters, with combat built around blocking, dodging and learning attack patterns while making effective use of character-specific abilities. The full release also adds Boss Rush, Endless Mode and Training Grounds alongside the main campaign, giving players options beyond normal story progression.

SummerClip has also revised progression and resource acquisition compared with the demo. The developer says those systems have been streamlined to make the overall experience smoother, although it has not published a detailed list of every change being made for launch. Earlier demo versions included only part of the story, fewer characters and a significantly smaller pool of buffs.

The game will also include full Japanese voice acting. The announced cast includes Ikumi Hasegawa as Chillo, Tomoyo Takayanagi as Plumy and Mai Kadowaki as Kiki, alongside Mami Ozaki, Chinatsu Asahi, Megumi Tachiishi and Shojiro Tanaka in additional roles. English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Japanese interface or subtitle support are listed on Steam, while the Japanese audio track is part of the full release.

Ved: Recure has been playable publicly through multiple demo periods ahead of launch, including a Steam Next Fest version earlier this year. SummerClip used those tests to gather feedback and refine existing content rather than continuously adding major new systems to the demo. Save data from one of the more recent demo versions was also supported across that testing period, although players should check the final Steam launch notes for any restrictions on carrying progress into the finished game.

Steam currently lists Ved: Recure as a single-player action RPG with Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, leaderboards and Family Sharing support. The game’s minimum PC requirements call for Windows 10, an Intel i5-class processor, 4 GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 1060 and 12 GB of storage, while the recommended specification raises memory to 8 GB and the GPU to a GTX 1660.

Ved: Recure launches September 22, 2026 for PC via Steam. The release will include all four story chapters, seven playable characters, 16 bosses, more than 150 buffs, over 50 equipment items and the additional Boss Rush, Endless and Training modes.
