Rockstar Games has officially announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, confirming the mysterious physical product that appeared in Rockstar Store data earlier on September 24. Rockstar describes it as a premium GTA VI collectible set inspired by Macca the Gator, a character from Leonida’s fictional television show The Goodtime State. Pre-orders are now being promoted directly by Rockstar, with availability limited to remaining stock.
The announcement resolves the biggest question surrounding the store listing while also clarifying what the product actually is. Earlier backend data had led to speculation that the Vice City Collection could be a conventional GTA VI Collector’s Edition, particularly because it was registered as a physical product and appeared to carry a substantial shipping weight. Rockstar’s wording instead calls it a “premium Grand Theft Auto VI collectible set,” rather than another edition of the game itself.
That distinction matters because Rockstar’s official GTA VI storefront continues to present Standard and Ultimate as the game’s two principal editions. The Ultimate Edition already includes a substantial collection of digital extras woven through Jason and Lucia’s story, including vehicles, weapons, clothing, businesses and other exclusive content. Rockstar has not described the newly announced Vice City Collection as replacing either edition, nor has it stated that purchasing the set includes a copy of Grand Theft Auto VI.

The Goodtime State branding also connects the physical collection directly to content already established within GTA VI. Rockstar describes Goodtime Gear in the Ultimate Edition as a collection of apparel and accessories inspired by Macca the Gator, the character at the center of Leonida’s fictional television program. The new Vice City Collection appears to extend that in-universe branding into a real-world collectible product rather than simply using generic GTA VI logos.
Before Rockstar’s announcement, store data associated with the product suggested it was considerably more substantial than an ordinary piece of merchandise. Reports examining the listing found a one-per-customer purchase restriction and an unusually high listed package weight, although those backend values should not be treated as a definitive description of the finished retail package. The store discovery also appeared alongside a larger batch of GTA VI merchandise references spanning apparel, hats, accessories and branded collectibles.
Rockstar’s confirmation removes the uncertainty over whether the Vice City Collection itself was merely an unused database entry. It does not, however, automatically validate every separate merchandise item uncovered alongside it, and Rockstar has not publicly detailed all of those products in the same announcement. The company is instead presenting the Vice City Collection as a limited premium set, with the “while supplies last” language indicating that availability may be constrained.
The release is another step in Rockstar’s expanding physical merchandise campaign around GTA VI ahead of the game’s November launch. In addition to game pre-orders, Rockstar has been rolling out music releases, special editions and merchandise tied directly to Leonida’s fictional culture and brands. The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection takes that strategy further by turning one of the game’s fictional entertainment properties into a real-world premium collectible.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar’s current official materials continue to list Standard and Ultimate Editions for the game itself, so the Vice City Collection should be treated as a separate collectible product unless the company explicitly states otherwise. What began as a Rockstar Store backend discovery earlier in the day is now confirmed, but its importance is as a limited GTA VI merchandise set rather than proof of a third game edition.
