Rockstar Games’ newly announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection costs $399 and includes 11 physical collectibles, but it does not include a copy of GTA VI. Rockstar explicitly states that Grand Theft Auto VI is sold separately, making the premium box a standalone merchandise package rather than a conventional game Collector’s Edition. The collection is scheduled to arrive on November 19 alongside GTA VI and is available for pre-order while supplies last.
The distinction is important because the package had been widely interpreted as a potential Collector’s Edition after it first surfaced through Rockstar Store backend data. Rockstar has now officially positioned it as a limited-edition Collector’s Box inspired by The Goodtime State, Leonida’s fictional television program featuring Macca the Gator. The official Vice City Collection announcement confirmed the product after its earlier store listing prompted speculation over whether Rockstar was preparing a third retail edition of GTA VI.
The box contains a six-inch Macca the Gator figure with a stash compartment, matte black GTAVI Oakley Frogskins sunglasses fitted with Prizm Sapphire lenses, and a New Era 9FORTY A-Frame snapback decorated with Vice City and Leonida elements. Rockstar is also including a Leonida Keys crossbody bag, Macca magnetic mirror, Chunkee the Manatee shot glass, Vice City swizzle spoon and a razor blade-shaped keychain. The remaining items are a Leonida Keys enamel pin set in a metal tin, a premium sticker pack presented in a stash bag and a double-sided souvenir poster.

That poster is particularly notable because Rockstar says it showcases the full Leonida landscape, giving buyers a physical map-style item tied to GTA VI’s setting. Physical maps have historically been associated with boxed Grand Theft Auto releases, but here the poster sits inside a separate $399 merchandise package while the actual game must be purchased independently. Rockstar has not presented the collection as containing either the Standard or Ultimate Edition.
The company already sells GTA VI itself separately in Standard and Ultimate configurations, with the latter bundling additional digital content. The Goodtime State box therefore functions more like a premium memorabilia collection than a traditional Collector’s Edition containing the game plus extras. That also avoids splitting the physical merchandise package between PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, since customers can buy the box independently of their chosen platform.
Rockstar’s clarification also settles an open question created by the original Rockstar Store backend discovery. Before the announcement, the unusually large physical listing, its purchase restrictions and its connection to GTA VI’s November launch had fueled expectations that it could contain the game. The final product details confirm the substantial physical package while showing that the actual GTA VI license is not part of it.
The collection also arrives as Rockstar expands GTA VI beyond the game itself with physical merchandise and music releases. The company has separately announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, which features 34 original tracks and launches on November 19. Together, the products show Rockstar building a broader retail lineup around GTA VI’s fictional brands, characters and Leonida setting.
Grand Theft Auto VI launches November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Anyone buying The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection will still need to purchase the game separately, making the effective cost of owning both higher than the $399 price of the collectible box alone. Rockstar is selling the collection as a limited release, with additional regional pre-order details expected for markets including Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Latin America.
