Psikyo Memories will launch on February 18, 2027 for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2, publisher Edia has announced. The release date arrives after the retro shoot ’em up collection was first revealed for a broader 2027 window at Tokyo Game Show 2026. Pre-orders have also opened in Japan, with Edia confirming both standard and special physical editions.
The collection brings together 12 arcade shooters originally developed by Psikyo across the 1990s and early 2000s. Its lineup includes Strikers 1945, Strikers 1945 II, Strikers 1999, Sol Divide, Dragon Blaze, Zero Gunner 2-, Samurai Aces, Tengai, Sengoku Cannon, Gunbird, Gunbird 2 and Gunbarich. Strikers 1945 was previously shown as a playable title at Tokyo Game Show, but Edia has now confirmed the full package.
Psikyo built a reputation around fast-moving arcade shooters that mixed traditional vertical and horizontal action with unusually aggressive enemy patterns and compact stage design. The Strikers series became one of the studio’s most recognizable military-themed franchises, while Gunbird and Samurai Aces leaned further into colorful characters and fantasy elements. Psikyo Memories is intended to collect those different sides of the developer’s catalogue in one modern release.

Edia is also including an in-game gallery built around archival material from the original games. The publisher describes the project as more than a straight compilation, with historical artwork and other period material intended to give it a library-like element alongside the playable releases. That archival focus was already part of the collection’s original Tokyo Game Show presentation and remains one of the main features distinguishing it from simple individual re-releases.
In Japan, the standard edition is priced at 6,800 yen before tax, or 7,480 yen including tax. A special edition will cost 14,800 yen before tax, or 16,280 yen including tax, and bundles the game with an illustration booklet, desktop calendar and a set of 12 dog tags. Edia has not yet detailed equivalent pricing or physical-edition availability for other regions.
The confirmed platform list remains PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Although Strikers 1945 was demonstrated on PC hardware during Tokyo Game Show, PC has not been announced as a release platform for Psikyo Memories, and neither have Xbox Series X|S or the original Nintendo Switch. Edia’s current product information continues to list only Sony’s current-generation console and Nintendo’s newer hardware.
The February release date is a notable update because the game had previously only been attached to a general 2027 window. Edia’s original announcement described Psikyo Memories as a modern collection preserving the speed and intensity of the studio’s arcade shooters while bringing them to current hardware. The newly confirmed date now places the compilation firmly in the first quarter of 2027.
The project is part of a broader wave of retro releases Edia has been preparing for newer platforms. Its Tokyo Game Show 2026 lineup also included revivals and collections based on Battle Arena Toshinden and Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes, highlighting the publisher’s continued push to reissue older Japanese games for modern systems.
Psikyo Memories is scheduled to launch February 18, 2027 for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. With 12 confirmed games, an archival gallery and a collector-focused special edition, the release is shaping up as a broad preservation package for Psikyo’s arcade catalogue rather than a limited selection of individual ports.
