Star Wars: Galactic Racer has launched on Amazon Luna alongside its worldwide release, with Amazon Prime members able to play the game’s single-player campaign at no additional cost. Amazon confirmed the day-one availability on October 6, making the new Star Wars racing game immediately accessible through its cloud gaming service in eligible regions. The standard version otherwise sells for $59.99 on platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Amazon says this is the first time Star Wars: Galactic Racer has been available through Luna from the same day as its wider platform launch. Jeff Gattis, Head of Gaming at Amazon, said the company wants Luna users to be able to access major games immediately rather than waiting for later additions to the service. Prime members do not need to separately purchase Galactic Racer to access its included single-player content through Luna.
The Prime offering covers more than the main story campaign. Amazon’s announcement also details Arcade and Scenarios as additional single-player modes available alongside the campaign. Arcade consists of shorter challenges built around particular tracks, vehicles and objectives, while Scenarios offer longer runs with different rules and playable characters.

The main campaign follows Shade, a racer entering the Galactic League during the early New Republic era. Players work through a runs-based structure where individual tours involve choosing routes, events and upgrades while attempting to survive long enough to progress through the underground racing circuit. Some progression carries between attempts, while crashes and failed runs can force players to regroup and begin another tour.
Galactic Racer includes several classes of Star Wars repulsorcraft rather than focusing entirely on podracers. Landspeeders emphasize aggressive driving and takedowns, speeder bikes favor acceleration and hard braking, and skim speeders reward maintaining momentum through precise racing lines. Podracers are also included but compete separately because their significantly higher speeds would make them difficult to mix fairly with the other vehicle categories.
Tracks span both recognizable and newly created locations from the Star Wars universe. Jakku includes races through the Graveyard of Giants, with wrecked Imperial hardware forming part of the course, while Ando Prime introduces icy terrain and Sentinel I features hazards including toxic environments and acid. Sebulba also returns as one of the familiar Star Wars characters encountered within the racing circuit.
The game was developed by Fuse Games, a studio founded by developers with previous experience on racing franchises including Burnout and Need for Speed, and is published by Secret Mode. Galactic Racer launched worldwide on October 6 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with the PC version available through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Its standard edition is priced at $59.99, while a $79.99 Deluxe Edition includes additional vehicles, a livery, Arcade events and a digital art book.
Luna’s version is particularly notable because cloud streaming removes the need for a local installation or a dedicated current-generation console. Amazon says Prime members in territories where Luna is supported can begin playing immediately through compatible devices. That gives Galactic Racer a potentially wider launch-day audience than a conventional premium release limited to purchased copies on console and PC.
Amazon has increasingly positioned Luna as a gaming benefit within Prime rather than only as a separate cloud-gaming subscription. Giving subscribers access to a newly released $59.99 game’s single-player content represents a more aggressive use of that strategy than adding older catalog titles. Galactic Racer therefore serves as both a new distribution route for Fuse Games’ racer and a test of whether Prime can make Luna more relevant for day-one game releases.
Multiplayer remains separate from the Prime single-player offering described by Amazon at launch. For players interested primarily in the campaign, Arcade and Scenario modes, however, the Luna version provides access without an additional game purchase. Star Wars: Galactic Racer is available now, with Prime members able to stream its single-player content through Amazon Luna in eligible regions.
