S-GAME has confirmed that Phantom Blade Zero will occupy approximately 145 GB of storage on PC, with players advised to reserve at least 300 GB of free disk space for the preload process. The developer shared the storage guidance on October 25, 2026, ahead of the action RPG’s October 28 release on PC and PlayStation 5.
In a statement published through the official Phantom Blade Zero social media account, S-GAME outlined three recommendations for PC players preparing to download the game. Alongside the storage figures, the developer advised installing the game on an SSD for a smoother experience and updating graphics drivers to their latest available versions.
The 300 GB recommendation is particularly important for players intending to preload the game. Although Phantom Blade Zero’s estimated game size is 145 GB, the developer recommends having substantially more space available during the preload process. This leaves an additional 155 GB beyond the stated game size, although S-GAME has not explained the technical reason for the larger temporary storage requirement.

Players should therefore distinguish between the game’s approximate size and the free space recommended for preloading. The announcement does not indicate that Phantom Blade Zero will permanently occupy 300 GB after installation.
Preloading begins on October 26, 2026, at 7:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time, giving eligible players approximately 48 hours to prepare before the scheduled release. The game launches on October 28 at 7:00 PM PDT, equivalent to October 29 at 2:00 AM UTC.
Phantom Blade Zero is developed by S-GAME Studio and published by S-GAME Publishing. Built using Unreal Engine 5, the single-player action RPG draws inspiration from Chinese wuxia fiction and follows Soul, a warrior who has 66 days left to live after suffering a fatal injury. Its combat system emphasizes martial arts, weapon-based encounters and fast-paced action.
The game is available for preorder on Steam, where the standard edition is listed at $59.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition at $69.99 in the United States.
With preloading scheduled to begin on October 26, PC players planning to install Phantom Blade Zero can now check their available SSD capacity against the developer’s recommendations. S-GAME has not specified whether the approximate 145 GB size includes any potential launch-day updates.
