MCHOSE has introduced the Ace68 V2, an updated Hall Effect gaming keyboard priced at $69, featuring a dedicated physical Rapid Trigger button, revised styling and new magnetic switch options. The compact 68-key keyboard retains the original Ace68’s competitive gaming focus while offering an affordable alternative to premium magnetic keyboards such as the Wooting 60HE.
The Ace68 V2 is available in translucent white, black and pink finishes, with a reported launch promotion reducing its price to approximately $62. The updated model combines adjustable magnetic switch actuation with an 8,000Hz polling rate and software-based customization, targeting PC gamers who want responsive keyboard controls without spending significantly more on premium alternatives.
The most notable hardware change is a dedicated Rapid Trigger button positioned along the keyboard’s rear edge. The physical control allows users to cycle between three trigger configurations without navigating through the keyboard’s software.

Rapid Trigger technology adjusts when a key resets based on its movement rather than requiring it to return to a fixed reset position. This allows keys to be activated repeatedly with smaller movements, making the feature particularly relevant to competitive shooters where players frequently change movement direction or perform rapid inputs.
The external shortcut makes switching between different configurations more convenient, particularly for users who prefer different sensitivity settings for gaming and everyday typing.
MCHOSE has also revised the keyboard’s exterior with a frosted metal accent strip and translucent polycarbonate keycaps. The updated design retains a compact layout with dedicated arrow keys, an angled front edge and the brand’s signature carrying strap.
Two linear magnetic switch options are offered: Star Ring and Royal Steed. The Star Ring switches feature a box-style stem and a reported 33 gf actuation force, while the Royal Steed switches use a cylindrical stem with a slightly heavier 35 gf actuation force.
White and pink versions can be configured with either switch type, while the black version is offered with Royal Steed switches. The switches sit on an aluminium alloy plate, with internal dampening materials intended to reduce unwanted typing noise.
The Ace68 V2 also supports adjustable actuation through MCHOSE’s M HUB configuration software. Reported specifications include an actuation range of 0.1mm to 3.4mm, an 8,000Hz polling rate and a 256K scan rate. MCHOSE advertises response latency as low as 0.08ms, although these performance figures should be treated as manufacturer claims rather than independently verified results.
Additional configuration features include SOCD handling, dynamic keystrokes, key remapping, macros and adjustable RGB lighting. The keyboard connects through wired USB-C rather than offering wireless connectivity.
At $69, the Ace68 V2 enters an increasingly competitive market for affordable Hall Effect gaming keyboards. For comparison, the recently introduced Razer Reclusa Mini 65% costs $129.99 and combines magnetic switches, Rapid Trigger functionality, 8K polling and wireless connectivity.
The Ace68 V2’s main distinction from the original Ace68 is its physical Rapid Trigger control and refreshed construction rather than an entirely new keyboard architecture. Its magnetic switch functionality and compact design build on features already available in MCHOSE’s existing lineup.
For competitive PC gamers considering an inexpensive Hall Effect keyboard, the updated model offers another option with configurable actuation and dedicated hardware profile switching. Actual input latency, switch consistency and long-term durability remain factors that require independent testing before drawing performance comparisons with more expensive keyboards.
