Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve’s achievement list has surfaced online ahead of the game’s October launch, revealing new details about the length and structure of its campaign. SteamDB recorded a fresh update for the game’s Steam app on September 9, with the achievement data subsequently spreading through gaming communities and trophy-tracking sites. The list appears legitimate and is tied directly to Ace Combat 8’s Steam App ID, although players trying to avoid campaign spoilers should be cautious when viewing the full set.
The most notable detail is the apparent campaign length. The surfaced list contains individual completion achievements for a prologue followed by Missions 01 through 30, suggesting Ace Combat 8 includes 30 numbered campaign missions in a standard playthrough. A separate achievement is awarded for completing the overall campaign, while additional trophies require finishing the game on Ace difficulty and earning S ranks across all missions.
Several achievement names also appear to hint at the campaign’s progression and locations. Entries tied to later missions reference developments including “Good News from Space,” “Freeing Usea,” “The Anemone” and “The Real Wings,” although the achievement descriptions themselves generally stop at confirming which mission must be completed. Those names could still give away narrative context for players following the game’s trailers and promotional material, so further specifics are best treated as spoilers.

Outside the story, the list reveals more about Ace Combat 8’s progression systems. One achievement requires obtaining at least 20 aircraft types in campaign mode, while another is tied to collecting every aircraft, special weapon and upgrade part. Separate achievements reference earning up to 25 million MRP, obtaining assault records, collecting medals and destroying thousands of aircraft across the campaign, pointing to a sizeable progression grind beyond simply finishing the story.
The achievements also reinforce Bandai Namco’s focus on squad management during the campaign. One entry requires a wingman to destroy an enemy after the player issues Forward Attack, Dispersed Attack and Cover commands, while another involves allowing special weapon use before a wingman scores a kill. That fits with the publisher’s description of a campaign built around squad relationships and tactical decision-making rather than purely solo aerial combat.
Other trophies cover familiar Ace Combat systems such as post-stall maneuvers, aircraft customization, replay viewing and training missions. The list also references buying matching aircraft for wingmen through the Aircraft Tree, suggesting squad loadouts will have a more direct progression component than simply selecting the player’s own aircraft. At least 55 trophies or achievements are included in the surfaced list, with 30 of them directly tied to completing numbered campaign missions.
The achievement data concerns the campaign rather than the game’s newly detailed online component. Bandai Namco recently revealed Ace Combat 8’s 100-player Air Base and new multiplayer modes, including Co-Op Assault and Co-Op Warfare, with online progression and save data kept separate from the campaign. The leaked achievement set does not appear to place significant emphasis on multiplayer-specific objectives, despite online play being one of the sequel’s major additions.
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is developed by Bandai Namco Aces and is scheduled to launch on October 2, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, with Deluxe Edition early access beginning on September 29. Steam currently lists the PC release at October 1 at 22:00 UTC because of regional timing. With the achievement list now public several weeks before launch, players avoiding story details may want to steer clear of full trophy and achievement databases until release.
