Arena Breakout is getting a new crossover with Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium, MoreFun Studios has confirmed. The official Arena Breakout account announced the collaboration on September 21 with a short teaser stating that Tactical Dolls are “entering Kamona,” the setting of the extraction shooter. No release date, character lineup or full list of crossover content has been announced yet.
The teaser confirms the collaboration itself but leaves most of its implementation unexplained. MoreFun has not detailed which Girls’ Frontline 2 characters will appear, whether they will arrive as operator cosmetics, weapon skins or event content, or how long the crossover will run. The announcement also specifically comes from the mobile Arena Breakout account, with no confirmation at this stage that the collaboration will extend to Arena Breakout: Infinite on PC.
This will not be the first time Arena Breakout has crossed over with the Girls’ Frontline franchise. In 2024, the original Girls’ Frontline held the Lorenz Butterfly collaboration event with Arena Breakout, while Arena Breakout later received its own Girls’ Frontline-themed event. That earlier crossover included cosmetic content inspired by Tactical Dolls, establishing a direct connection between the two franchises before the sequel became involved.
Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium is the follow-up to MICA Team’s original Girls’ Frontline and shifts the series into fully 3D tactical combat. Players command squads of Tactical Dolls, each built around distinctive weapons, abilities and character designs, across turn-based encounters. That makes the property an unusual but thematically compatible partner for Arena Breakout, which is built around realistic firearms, equipment management and extraction-based firefights.
Arena Breakout itself is a free-to-play tactical extraction shooter developed by MoreFun Studios. Players enter maps with selected equipment, search for weapons and valuable items, fight other operators and AI-controlled enemies, and attempt to leave the area alive with everything they have collected. Its economy and loadout systems place significant value on surviving a raid, since equipment brought into a match can be lost.
The game has increasingly used crossover events to introduce limited-time cosmetics and themed content alongside its more grounded tactical presentation. Previous collaborations have included Resident Evil and Cyberpunk 2077, giving MoreFun room to introduce characters and visual themes that differ substantially from Arena Breakout’s standard military aesthetic. Girls’ Frontline 2 follows the same pattern while maintaining a stronger connection to firearms than many potential crossover properties.
Exactly how far this collaboration goes remains uncertain. The phrase “Tactical Dolls are entering Kamona” suggests the characters themselves will form a visible part of the event, but MoreFun has not confirmed whether that means playable appearances, character-themed outfits or another implementation. There is also no indication yet that the crossover will include missions or narrative content comparable to the earlier Girls’ Frontline collaboration.
MoreFun is likely to reveal the event’s content and timing closer to launch. For now, the only confirmed details are that Arena Breakout and Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium are officially collaborating and that Tactical Dolls will be involved. Players on Arena Breakout: Infinite will need to wait for a separate announcement before assuming the crossover will also appear on PC.
