The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival launches today, September 18, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. Developed by Odaclick Game Studio and published by Trailmark Games, the single-player side-scrolling beat-’em-up adapts characters and locations from AMC’s The Walking Dead into an arcade-style action game. The standard edition is priced at $19.99, with a Deluxe Edition also available.

Streets of Survival focuses on the All Out War storyline and puts players in control of Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon and Michonne as they fight both walkers and the Saviors. Negan also becomes playable after completing the game for the first time, giving players access to his own moveset built around Lucille. Each character has different statistics, combat abilities and signature weapons, including Rick’s magnum, Michonne’s katana and Daryl’s crossbow.

Combat mixes close-range attacks with ranged abilities as players move through walker-infested streets, tunnels, settlements and enemy strongholds. Trailmark describes the game as an arcade brawler designed around combos, finishers and crowd management, with large groups of walkers appearing alongside human enemies. Familiar locations from the television series include Alexandria, Hilltop and the Sanctuary, while environmental hazards and set-piece encounters are incorporated into individual stages.

Boss encounters draw from both the undead and the Saviors. Players can face recognizable walkers such as Winslow and the Well Walker, while Negan and Simon appear among the human opponents encountered during the campaign. Several of these fights use multiple phases, requiring players to adjust between different attack patterns rather than simply clearing ordinary groups of enemies.

Although its structure draws heavily from traditional scrolling beat-’em-ups, Streets of Survival also incorporates scavenging and survival elements intended to reflect the wider Walking Dead setting. The developers have emphasized replayability through multiple difficulty settings and character-specific movesets, while an optional Easy Mode is available for players primarily interested in progressing through the campaign. The game is strictly single-player, with no cooperative multiplayer mode included at launch.

The Deluxe Edition includes the Arcade Apocalypse Pack alongside the base game. Pre-orders were also offered with the Golden Survival Pack, which provides gold-themed equipment for the playable survivors. The game’s comparatively low entry price positions it as a smaller licensed action release rather than a full-priced adaptation of the television series.

Streets of Survival was originally announced in June alongside a playable Steam demo. That demo allowed players to try the core combat with Rick, Daryl and Michonne several months before release, while Trailmark subsequently confirmed the September 18 launch date and revealed Negan as an unlockable character during its pre-release campaign. The finished game arrives roughly three months after that initial public reveal.

The Walking Dead has appeared across numerous game genres over the years, but Streets of Survival takes a deliberately arcade-focused approach rather than the narrative adventure or survival formats often associated with the franchise. Its use of recognizable characters, weapons and locations from AMC’s series gives the game a familiar foundation while translating the Saviors conflict into a traditional side-scrolling brawler.

The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam. The standard edition costs $19.99, while the Deluxe Edition includes additional downloadable content for players wanting the broader launch package.
