Lil Wayne’s Fortnite cosmetics have begun surfacing following Epic Games’ official teaser for the rapper’s upcoming crossover. Fortnite leaker HYPEX shared images on September 10 showing what appear to be the collaboration’s skins, while fellow leaker ShiinaBR has separately reported that two Lil Wayne outfits are planned for the current update. Epic has confirmed the crossover itself through an official teaser, but has not yet published a full cosmetic breakdown.

The new images represent the clearest look yet at what players can expect from the collaboration. Until now, the crossover had largely been built through teasers, beginning when Lil Wayne posted a “Where we dropping?” message on Instagram that immediately drew comparisons to Fortnite’s Battle Bus sequence. The rapper followed that with additional Fortnite-themed material as speculation around an in-game appearance grew.

Epic Games then moved beyond hints by publishing its own short teaser featuring Lil Wayne. The video kept the rapper mostly obscured but used his voice and ended with a direct Fortnite reference, effectively establishing that a crossover was on the way even though the company stopped short of detailing the cosmetics. That official involvement substantially strengthened earlier reports that Lil Wayne was the musical artist associated with encrypted content found in the current update.

According to ShiinaBR, the collaboration includes two Lil Wayne skins that are expected to become available later during the update. HYPEX’s September 10 post subsequently showed the outfits themselves, giving players their first visual indication of how the rapper will appear in Fortnite. Because Epic has not yet uploaded an official Item Shop page or complete announcement for the set, the leaked images should still be treated as pre-release material rather than final store listings.

Several additional cosmetics have also been discussed by dataminers, but Epic has not yet confirmed the full package. Community reports have pointed toward supporting items beyond the two outfits, potentially including accessories and music-related cosmetics, which would be consistent with Fortnite’s previous artist collaborations. Exact item names, bundle contents and V-Bucks prices remain unconfirmed at the time of writing.

The crossover follows a short but increasingly direct teaser campaign. Lil Wayne’s original Instagram activity was followed by another Fortnite-focused video teaser, while Epic’s own social account has since made the connection explicit. That progression means the existence of the collaboration is no longer based solely on datamining, even though many of the individual cosmetic details are still coming from leakers.

Lil Wayne would join a long list of musicians who have received Fortnite outfits, including artists such as Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Ariana Grande and Travis Scott. Music collaborations have become a regular part of Fortnite’s wider ecosystem, extending beyond Festival headliners to standalone Item Shop releases, Jam Tracks, instruments and other cosmetics. Epic has increasingly used these partnerships across Battle Royale and Fortnite Festival rather than restricting them to a single mode.

There is still some uncertainty around when the Lil Wayne cosmetics will actually become available. Leakers have indicated that the skins are tied to the current update, but Epic has not announced an Item Shop date in its public teaser. A separate trailer has also been reported for September 12, although until Epic publishes scheduling details directly, the exact release timing should be considered provisional.

For now, the most concrete development is that the crossover has progressed from teasing to visible cosmetics. Epic Games has officially acknowledged Lil Wayne’s Fortnite appearance, and leaked imagery now shows two skins associated with the collaboration. The remaining questions concern when the set will enter the Item Shop, how much it will cost and which additional cosmetics will accompany the outfits.
