Psycho-Sleuth will launch for PC on November 5, giving PHOSEPO’s psychological mystery game a firm release date after previously carrying only a broad 2026 window. Gematsu reports that publisher Thermite Games and developer PHOSEPO announced the date, with the game set to release through Steam and STOVE. The Steam store page had not yet updated beyond its existing 2026 release window at the time of writing.
The game combines traditional murder-mystery deduction with a system built around unusual cognitive disorders that alter how characters perceive evidence and events. Thirteen participants are drawn into a deadly trial in which they are challenged to commit murder without being exposed, with the promise of attaining godhood if they succeed. The central mystery revolves around identifying killers while accounting for the distorted perceptions affecting both witnesses and suspects.
Those conditions are not treated merely as character traits, but as mechanics that can reshape the logic of individual cases. PHOSEPO gives examples including obsessive-compulsive behavior that prevents a character from lying, spatial neglect that causes evidence on one side of the environment to disappear from perception, and prosopagnosia that makes faces impossible to recognize. Players must determine when testimony reflects reality and when a character’s condition has changed how that reality is being interpreted.

Investigations eventually lead into timed Debate Mode sequences, where players evaluate statements and respond using collected evidence. The system is designed to make deduction more active than simply selecting dialogue options, requiring players to recognize contradictions while managing limited time. PHOSEPO has continued refining that portion of the game through its public demo, including changes to pacing, animation flow and control customization.
Psycho-Sleuth also uses Live2D character animation alongside illustrated CG scenes during investigations, confrontations and punishments. The developers describe each of the 13 main characters as having a distinct “Afflicted Power” connected to their condition, meaning understanding how each person perceives the world is intended to be as important as conventional evidence gathering. Multiple endings and player choices are also listed among the game’s features.
A playable demo has been available on Steam since September 2025 and has received a Very Positive user rating from several hundred players. PHOSEPO has continued updating the demo since launch, including an English localization overhaul intended to make dialogue, character voices and narrative information clearer for international players. The final game will support English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Korean interfaces and subtitles, with Japanese voice acting listed on Steam.
The November release will arrive on PC through both Steam and STOVE. STOVE currently lists Thermite Games as publisher, while Steam lists PHOSEPO itself as both developer and publisher, reflecting different distribution arrangements between the storefronts. No console versions have been announced.
PHOSEPO previously described Psycho-Sleuth as a roughly 20-hour mystery project built around the idea that normally reliable evidence can become misleading when perception itself is altered. That premise gives the game a structure closer to a psychological deduction experiment than a straightforward visual novel, with each case forcing players to reconsider what characters are physically capable of seeing, remembering or communicating.
Psycho-Sleuth is now scheduled to launch on November 5, 2026. Its free Steam demo remains available ahead of release for players who want to try the investigation and Debate Mode systems before the full game arrives.
