Fortnite’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners crossover content has now been decrypted from the game’s live files, giving dataminers a much clearer look at the collaboration following its official reveal. Fortnite dataminer FireMonkey reported on September 17 that the previously encrypted Edgerunners material had become accessible, while additional images and footage circulating from the files show Lucy’s Outfit and related cosmetics in-game. The discovery comes as Epic Games prepares dedicated Cyberpunk: Edgerunners competitive events beginning September 19.
The decryption does not represent the first confirmation that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is coming to Fortnite. Epic Games has already shown Lucy in an official trailer, including her standard appearance and an alternate style featuring David Martinez’s yellow jacket. The trailer also established several parts of the cosmetic set, including a Rebecca-themed Back Bling, while the Lucy Outfit was formally revealed ahead of the update.
What has changed with the latest update is that dataminers can now directly inspect content that had previously remained encrypted. FireMonkey subsequently shared footage of Lucy’s Outfit and her Monowire, including the Monowire equipped on another skin, confirming that the item is not simply baked into Lucy’s character model. HYPEX and ShiinaBR also circulated new in-game looks at Lucy following the decryption, providing additional views of how the Edgerunners character appears inside Fortnite.
The newly accessible files build on several earlier leaks surrounding the crossover. Previous datamining pointed to Adam Smasher, multiple Sprites and Cyberpunk-themed Match Overrides, suggesting the collaboration extends beyond a single cosmetic bundle. Some of those elements had remained encrypted or otherwise unavailable for direct inspection, making it unclear which parts were complete enough to appear in the live game.
Rebecca’s Guns are another confirmed part of the collaboration. Epic’s Chapter 7 Season 4 announcement specifically named the weapon as coming later in the season, while subsequent gameplay information indicates the dual-wield setup combines an assault rifle and SMG-style weapon into a single item. Earlier leaks also described Rebecca’s Exotic weapon behavior, including its unusual firing characteristics, before the content entered the live build.
Epic has also now published dedicated Cyberpunk: Edgerunners competitive listings on Fortnite’s official website. The Override Series: Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Cup is scheduled for September 19 and 20 depending on region, with trios able to compete for crossover-themed cosmetic rewards. A separate Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Mobile Cup is also scheduled for September 19, confirming that Epic is supporting the crossover with its own limited-time competitive events rather than treating it solely as an Item Shop release.
The official tournament listings provide independent confirmation that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners content is active within Fortnite’s current seasonal rollout, although they do not verify every element uncovered by dataminers. Files can contain unreleased, unfinished or disabled content, so individual discoveries such as NPCs, Sprites or specific gameplay interactions should still be treated separately until they become available in-game or are acknowledged by Epic Games. That distinction is particularly important for content uncovered through decrypted assets rather than through Epic’s public announcements.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override has been built around major gaming crossovers, with Epic’s season announcement already naming Cyberpunk: Edgerunners alongside properties including Kingdom Hearts. With the Edgerunners files now decrypted, much of the collaboration’s cosmetic content can be inspected directly rather than inferred from encrypted references, while its competitive events are set to begin on September 19.
