Persona 5 Royal is officially crossing over with Fortnite on September 25, with a new trailer confirming Joker, Ann Takamaki and Morgana as the collaboration’s central characters. The footage was released ahead of the crossover’s Item Shop debut and gives the clearest official look yet at how the Phantom Thieves have been adapted for Fortnite. It follows several days of teasers and datamined discoveries that had already exposed much of the collaboration before its formal reveal.
Joker and Ann are the two playable Persona 5 character Outfits shown for the crossover, while Morgana appears separately as a Sidekick rather than another full Outfit. The trailer places the characters directly into Fortnite’s visual style while retaining their recognizable Persona 5 Royal designs and presentation. That lineup matches earlier files that pointed to Joker and Ann cosmetics before Epic publicly showed the finished collaboration.
The crossover also includes a broader set of themed cosmetics built around the two Phantom Thieves. Previous decrypted files revealed that Joker receives his own supporting cosmetic set, including items tied to his Persona identity, while Ann receives corresponding equipment and cosmetic content. Joker was also linked to a transformation-style emote, one of the more distinctive additions found before the official trailer arrived. The release footage now puts those leaks into the context of a confirmed collaboration rather than an unreleased set of game files.
Morgana’s inclusion is handled differently. Instead of becoming a standard character skin, the Phantom Thieves’ feline companion appears through Fortnite’s Sidekick system, allowing Morgana to accompany players during matches. Earlier leaks had also connected Morgana to additional crossover content, including a Persona-themed Morgana vehicle design, showing that the collaboration extends beyond the two main Outfits.
The September 25 launch date also resolves uncertainty surrounding the timing of the crossover. Earlier information had pointed toward a Persona 5 rollout near the end of September, including reports of a teaser scheduled around the same window. Epic’s official campaign has now moved beyond teasing the partnership, with the full trailer and launch timing establishing that the Persona 5 Royal content is part of Fortnite’s immediate live-service schedule rather than a longer-term collaboration still waiting to be announced.
For Persona, the collaboration continues a particularly active anniversary period. Atlus has been marking the franchise’s 30th anniversary with merchandise, events and partnerships across multiple games and brands, while Persona 5 Royal remains one of the series’ most visible entries. Fortnite gives Joker, Ann and Morgana another major crossover appearance, this time inside one of gaming’s largest ongoing live-service platforms.
The official reveal also means much of the information that previously existed only through datamines can now be treated as confirmed at a broader level, although individual cosmetic names, prices and bundle structures may still depend on the Item Shop rollout. Epic has confirmed the crossover’s September 25 arrival and shown its principal characters, but players will need the live store listing for the final purchasing details.
