Bandai Namco has announced that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will receive a free 10th Anniversary Update on October 27, 2026, followed by the final Festival of Universes beginning October 30. The celebration introduces returning rare rewards, increased Star Coin earnings, special costumes, and commemorative items that can unlock bonuses in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3.
The publisher confirmed the anniversary plans on October 25, marking ten years since Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 originally launched. The update and accompanying festival will be available across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
The Final Festival of Universes will give players another opportunity to obtain items that were previously difficult to acquire. Bandai Namco confirmed that participants will be able to earn 25 times the usual amount of Star Coins, making it substantially easier to exchange the currency for festival rewards.

The event also introduces special camaraderie opportunities involving three familiar characters: Trunks, the Supreme Kai of Time, and Fu. Players can increase their camaraderie levels with these characters to unlock exclusive illustrations commemorating the game’s anniversary.
Additional festival rewards include a newly designed Gi and a commemorative medal. These items serve a purpose beyond Xenoverse 2, as possessing either one will allow players to unlock corresponding special items in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3.
To access those bonuses in the sequel, players will need to link their Bandai Namco ID. The rewards will become available when Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 launches in 2027. Bandai Namco has not yet detailed the exact items players will receive in the sequel or the full redemption process.
The October 27 update will also introduce new login bonuses and special costumes. Additionally, it will update the Gallery of Time, although access to the new gallery content requires purchasing the paid Future Saga Chapter 4 DLC.
Future Saga Chapter 4 launched in July 2026 as the final downloadable chapter of Xenoverse 2’s Future Saga storyline, introducing additional playable characters and story content. The anniversary update follows that release with a free celebration focused on returning rewards and the game’s existing player community.
The festival also establishes a connection between Xenoverse 2 and its upcoming sequel. Players interested in obtaining the Xenoverse 3 bonuses will need to participate in the anniversary event, secure the qualifying commemorative items, and link their Bandai Namco ID.
Bandai Namco has confirmed October 30 as the Final Festival of Universes’ starting date but has not specified its ending date. The free anniversary update arrives three days earlier, on October 27.
