Game Freak and publisher Fictions have released update 1.1.02 for Beast of Reincarnation on October 26, 2026, introducing outfit customization, expanded New Game+ progression, new boss attacks, and combat adjustments. The patch is the game’s ninth post-launch update and marks the end of its regularly scheduled update cycle.
According to the official patch notes, the update is available as version 1.1.02 on Steam and Xbox Series X|S, while PlayStation 5 players receive version 1.013.000. Alongside new gameplay features, the patch addresses progression-blocking bugs, controller functionality, and performance issues affecting PC handhelds.
One of the most noticeable additions is the ability to change protagonist Emma’s outfit at Campsites or through the Bed Menu inside the Cleanse Walker. New outfit pattern variations have also been distributed throughout the game’s regions, allowing players to unlock additional customization options through exploration.

New Game+ progression has been expanded to support equipment, outfit, and skin carryover when beginning another playthrough. Previously acquired customization options and gear can now be retained, reducing the need to obtain them again during subsequent runs.
The Grow Chamber also receives a new Growth Boost feature. Players can earn boost uses by defeating enemies and spend them to accelerate crop growth. Additionally, the chamber’s automatic planting option now guarantees that at least one seed is planted whenever the player has seeds available.
Combat has received several adjustments. Bosses now have additional attack moves and revised behavior patterns, while regular enemies and Nushi have undergone stat and attribute balancing. Game Freak has also adjusted the effectiveness of selected Bloom Arts and Blade Arts.
Weapon handling has been refined to allow ranged weapon switching during standard attacks and while using the Iaido stance. Guarding now uses a press-and-hold input, and melee targeting has been improved to adjust the vertical direction of slashes toward targeted enemies.
The update also expands control customization. Entanglement Overdrive can now be reassigned through the key configuration menu, and improved warnings identify incompatible button assignments. PlayStation 5 DualSense controllers now support touchpad inputs and appropriate button icon displays.
Several technical fixes target issues that could prevent players from progressing through the story. These include attacks failing to register during a Chapter 3 boss encounter, an invisible wall blocking progression in Chapter 10, and a Chapter 11 boss-related issue that caused the environment to turn dark.
Achievement-related bugs have also been addressed, including problems with fully upgrading ranged weapons, resetting skills, and unlocking the Blade Enthusiast achievement. Steam players additionally receive improved verification for the Duty Fulfilled achievement.
PC-specific improvements include fixes for disappearing health bars and corrupted cutscenes on ultrawide monitors. The update also resolves an issue that caused certain scenes and murals to appear excessively bright on the ASUS ROG Ally.
Steam Deck players receive loading improvements intended to prevent background assets from appearing and disappearing unexpectedly, as well as instances of characters falling outside playable areas because of delayed rendering. General visual-effects optimization and fixes for flickering shadows, clipping, and environmental glitches are also included.
The update concludes the developers’ planned schedule of frequent post-launch patches. Game Freak and Fictions confirmed that they will continue accepting player feedback and bug reports, although the end of the regular update cycle does not establish whether further patches will be released.
Beast of Reincarnation is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
