The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily will launch for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 on December 2, 2026, developers One or Eight, WSS Playground, and Alliance Arts have announced. The console release brings the turn-based tactical RPG to two additional platforms following its original PC launch in July 2025.
The announcement, made on October 28, confirms that both console versions will arrive on the same date. Pre-orders for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 are expected to open soon, although specific pre-order dates and console pricing have not yet been detailed.
Originally released for PC through Steam on July 24, 2025, The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily combines traditional tactical combat with battlefield manipulation through livestreaming technology. Players command a rebellion against an empire while using broadcasts to influence enemy movements, disrupt military operations, and recruit opposing commanders.

The story follows Scarlet, a duchess falsely accused of assassinating the Emperor. After escaping execution with the help of a mysterious girl named Lily, Scarlet turns against the Imperial Kingdom. Lily possesses advanced streaming technology and an aerial warship, giving the pair an unusual advantage against the Empire’s larger military forces.
Combat takes place across voxel-style battlefields where players must manage limited troops, capture strategic positions, and maintain supply lines. Units connected to their headquarters receive additional support, making it important to protect friendly routes while cutting off enemy reinforcements.
The Stream Airship introduces several abilities that affect the entire battlefield. Players can delay enemy advances, interrupt supply lines, encourage opposing soldiers to surrender, and improve their own units’ movement. These abilities provide alternatives to directly confronting larger enemy forces.
One of the game’s central mechanics involves deciding whether to capture or execute enemy generals. Captured commanders can eventually join Scarlet’s army, bringing additional abilities and tactical options. Executing commanders instead strengthens Scarlet and Lily but changes how their story develops.
The game also features relationships between allied characters. Deploying compatible units together and strengthening their trust can unlock additional story interactions and cooperative combat abilities known as Unison Skills.
The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily was developed by Alliance Arts, One or Eight, and WSS Playground, with Alliance Arts handling publishing. Its console expansion adds another tactical RPG to Nintendo Switch 2’s growing selection of games, alongside titles such as Demons' Night Fever, which also features turn-based tactical combat.
The PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 versions are scheduled for December 2, 2026. The PC edition remains available through Steam, where it originally launched at $29.99. Further details about console pricing and pre-order availability have not yet been confirmed.
