Developer tri-Ace has announced Resonance of Fate: Enhanced Remaster, a new PC upgrade launching October 29, 2026, through Steam. The downloadable content introduces native 4K rendering, HDR support, frame rates up to 120 FPS, improved textures, and a new 2x Game Speed feature.
The upgrade is designed for players who already own Resonance of Fate / End of Eternity 4K/HD Edition, which launched on PC in October 2018. According to the official Steam listing, the Enhanced Remaster requires the existing game and will not be available as a standalone release.
The main improvements focus on graphics and performance. Native 4K output and HDR expand the game’s display options, while 120 FPS support raises the frame-rate ceiling beyond the original PC edition’s 60 FPS limit. These additions give players with compatible monitors and sufficiently powerful hardware more options for experiencing the game’s gun-focused combat.

Tri-Ace has also upscaled character and environment textures to improve visual detail throughout the game. The enhancements build on the existing 4K/HD Edition, which already introduced higher-resolution graphics and updated textures compared with the original 2010 release.
Beyond the visual changes, Enhanced Remaster adds a 2x Game Speed option. The feature allows players to accelerate gameplay, providing an alternative pace for progressing through the RPG. It is the primary new gameplay convenience feature identified in the Steam announcement.
The original Resonance of Fate combines strategic RPG mechanics with acrobatic gun battles in a devastated, futuristic world. Players control a group of mercenaries navigating Basel, an enormous machine that sustains humanity in an otherwise hostile environment. Combat emphasizes positioning, coordinated attacks, and firearms rather than traditional fantasy weapons.
The Enhanced Remaster’s Steam listing also outlines its PC hardware requirements. The minimum specifications include Windows 11, an Intel Core i5-3330 or AMD FX-8350 processor, 4 GB of RAM as an apparent intended specification, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti or AMD Radeon HD 7770 graphics card. The stated minimum target is 1280 × 720 with anti-aliasing disabled.
For the recommended configuration, tri-Ace lists an Intel Core i5-8600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor alongside an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT. The recommended display target is 3840 × 2160 with anti-aliasing enabled. Both configurations specify DirectX 12.
The Steam page currently displays unusually low memory figures of 4 MB minimum and 12 MB recommended, which appear inconsistent with the listed hardware. Players should treat those memory values cautiously until the developer clarifies them. The listing also specifies 90 MB of available storage for the downloadable content.
Resonance of Fate: Enhanced Remaster is scheduled to become available on Steam on October 29, 2026. The official listing confirms the technical upgrades and base-game ownership requirement, although it does not currently provide a confirmed price.
