Devil Connection, the adventure game developed by Japanese indie studio ChaoGames, has received a PC update adding English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese language support. Publisher PLAYISM has confirmed the expanded language options alongside a first-anniversary promotion, while the Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android versions remain scheduled for January 21, 2027.
The language update makes the previously Japanese-language Steam release accessible to a wider audience. Devil Connection originally launched on PC on October 30, 2025, and the new localization arrives as the game marks its first anniversary. The latest update also introduces an additional anniversary scenario, giving existing players new story content to explore.
PLAYISM’s official announcement confirms that the game now supports four languages, including Japanese. The publisher has also introduced a 10% anniversary discount on Steam, reducing the standard $16.66 price for the promotional period.

Devil Connection takes place in the magical world of Magirisia, where players control a summoner who forms a contract with a mysterious devil. After the creature refuses to reveal its name, the protagonist calls it Devilun. The pair subsequently summon inhabitants of the magical world and manipulate their emotions to gather mana, helping Devilun work toward recovering his original form.
Gameplay revolves around interacting with more than 30 summonable characters and choosing dialogue options that influence their emotional states. Players can use Devilun’s Evil Eye Search ability to read characters’ thoughts, revealing clues that help determine how they might respond to different decisions.
The adventure also features numerous possible endings, including immediate bad endings triggered by incorrect choices. Its save-and-load system allows players to experiment with different responses, discover alternative outcomes and work toward the true ending. Characters feature fully animated expressions and interactive reactions.
Existing PC players should be aware of a potential save compatibility issue when changing languages. The developer has warned that switching languages while continuing from existing save data may cause text display problems. Playthrough counts and collected ending progress are preserved, but players are advised to use the “Start Over” option when beginning a playthrough in another language.
The upcoming Nintendo Switch release will bring the game to Nintendo’s console with English, Japanese and both Chinese language options. PLAYISM previously announced the January 21, 2027 release date in September, meaning the current announcement reconfirms an existing schedule rather than establishing a new launch window.
Nintendo Switch players will also have physical edition options in Japan. The standard physical release is priced at 4,400 yen, while a limited edition containing a Devilun plush and character encyclopedia costs 9,800 yen. Digital pricing for the console and mobile versions has not yet been finalized in the publisher’s product information.
Devil Connection joins several titles scheduled for Nintendo platforms in early 2027, including TAITO Milestones 5, which launches for Nintendo Switch in Japan on January 28.
For PC players, the English-language update is the immediate development, removing a significant language barrier from an adventure built around dialogue choices, character interactions and branching endings. The Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android releases are scheduled to follow on January 21, 2027.
