CONTROL Resonant is now available on GOG as a DRM-free PC release, giving players another way to purchase Remedy Entertainment’s action-adventure sequel. The game appeared on the storefront on October 28, 2026, approximately five weeks after its September 24 launch on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The official GOG product listing confirms that CONTROL Resonant can be purchased without digital rights management (DRM). Players can download an offline installer, install the game without using GOG Galaxy, and play without an internet connection or online activation.
This distinguishes the GOG release through its installation and access options rather than new gameplay content. GOG Galaxy remains optional, although players who want features such as cloud save synchronization and achievements through GOG’s platform can use the client.
GOG offers both Standard and Deluxe editions of CONTROL Resonant. The Standard Edition includes the main game, while the Deluxe Edition adds a Starter Resource Bundle, Untapped Artifact, AWE Mission Outfit, in-game original soundtrack, and digital artbook.
CONTROL Resonant originally launched on September 24, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Developed and published by Remedy Entertainment, the sequel follows Dylan Faden as he emerges from confinement within the Federal Bureau of Control and enters a Manhattan transformed by supernatural forces.
Players explore the city’s distorted environments, confront threats connected to the Hiss and Mold, and develop Dylan’s paranatural abilities. Combat also centers on the Aberrant, a shapeshifting melee weapon with multiple forms.
The GOG version officially supports Windows 10 and Windows 11. Its listed minimum PC requirements include 16GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 1070, Radeon RX 5600 XT, or Intel Arc A580 graphics card, and 120GB of available SSD storage.
For PC players who prefer keeping offline installers and launching purchased games without a storefront client, the GOG release provides an alternative to the game’s existing digital distribution options. The new availability concerns the purchasing and installation experience, with no separately announced gameplay expansion accompanying the storefront release.
