A previously undiscovered Easter egg in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has finally been uncovered more than three years after the game’s release. On November 1, 2026, player Towerbunga demonstrated how to activate the hidden secret by defeating a specific boss and entering the classic Konami code inside the game’s skill tree menu. The discovery reveals a surprise involving one of the series’ most recognizable enemies.

The Easter egg was discovered following clues shared by Respawn Entertainment UI/UX director Jordan DeVries, who confirmed that a secret remained hidden within one of the game’s menus. DeVries explained that the Easter egg had been officially approved by the development team, required a deliberate action to activate and could not be accessed immediately upon starting the game.

The developer also indicated that players would immediately recognize when they had successfully triggered the secret. Those hints helped narrow the search, with Towerbunga identifying the solution approximately four hours later and publishing a video demonstrating the process.

To activate the Easter egg, players must first defeat Spawn of Oggdo, an optional boss encountered at Fort Kah’lin on the planet Koboh. After defeating the creature, they need to visit the meditation point aboard the Mantis and open Cal Kestis’ skill tree.

While inside the skill tree menu, players must enter the famous Konami code: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A. The sequence is a longstanding gaming reference that originated in Konami titles and has subsequently appeared in numerous other games.

Successfully entering the combination triggers an unexpected animation in the skill tree interface. A gigantic blue holographic Oggdo appears behind the menu, interrupting the otherwise ordinary skill-management screen.

The appearance is particularly appropriate given the creature’s history in Respawn’s Star Wars games. Oggdo Bogdo originally appeared as a challenging optional enemy in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, while Jedi: Survivor introduced Spawn of Oggdo as another difficult encounter. The sequel also features a challenge involving both creatures.

Following the discovery, DeVries publicly congratulated Towerbunga, confirming that the player had successfully uncovered the hidden interaction. The developer’s acknowledgment establishes that the animation is an intentional Easter egg rather than an unexpected graphical glitch.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor originally launched in April 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions following in September 2024. Despite years of player exploration, the menu-based secret had remained undiscovered until November 2026.

The discovery comes as Respawn continues work on the next installment in Cal Kestis’ story. The upcoming third Star Wars Jedi game is reportedly far into development, although its release date remains unannounced.

For existing Jedi: Survivor players, the newly discovered interaction offers another reason to revisit Koboh and face Spawn of Oggdo. Unlike conventional collectibles or exploration secrets, this Easter egg requires a specific boss encounter followed by an otherwise unexplained button sequence in a menu that players routinely access throughout the adventure.
