Epic Games has announced a major restructuring of Fortnite Crew beginning December 5, 2026, increasing monthly V-Bucks rewards while ending exclusive monthly Crew Pack outfits and the OG Pass. The subscription will introduce four loyalty-based reward tiers and new XP bonuses without changing its $11.99 monthly price in the United States.
The changes were confirmed in an official Fortnite announcement published on November 4. Under the revised system, subscribers will receive between 1,000 and 1,600 V-Bucks each month, depending on how long they have maintained their membership. The current allowance is 800 V-Bucks, meaning even new subscribers will receive more in-game currency under the updated arrangement.
The new subscription structure introduces four membership tiers. Core members, covering their first two consecutive months, will receive 1,000 V-Bucks monthly. Bronze members with three to five months of membership will receive 1,200 V-Bucks, while Silver members with six to eleven months will receive 1,400. Gold members who reach twelve consecutive months will receive the maximum 1,600 V-Bucks each month.

Existing subscribers will not have to restart their membership progress when the system launches. Epic Games confirmed that their initial tier will be determined by their consecutive subscription history during the preceding twelve months. Players can check their assigned tier through the updated Crew tab in Fortnite beginning December 5.
Former subscribers will also have a limited opportunity to retain their previous membership progress. Anyone who resubscribes between December 6 and December 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET will have their initial tier calculated using their most recent uninterrupted subscription period within the past year. Players returning after that deadline will instead begin at the Core tier, regardless of earlier membership history.
One of the most significant changes is the discontinuation of monthly Crew Pack outfits. December 2026 will be the final month in which subscribers receive a dedicated Crew Pack outfit under the existing system. Epic Games has confirmed that subscribers will still be able to claim December’s final pack throughout that month.
Players who already own Crew Pack cosmetics will receive their remaining Legacy Styles in December. This applies to eligible outfits, pickaxes and back blings, including those belonging to players whose subscriptions have expired. The decision means existing cosmetic owners will receive their outstanding style rewards without needing to maintain an active membership.
The OG Pass is also ending on December 5 alongside the conclusion of Fortnite Chapter 1: OG Season X. Epic Games says the next era of Fortnite OG is scheduled for late 2027, although it has not provided further details about the returning experience.
Despite these removals, several existing subscription benefits will remain. Fortnite Crew will continue to include the Fortnite Battle Pass, Music Pass, LEGO Pass and Rocket Pass Premium. Epic Games has also confirmed a Music Mini-Pass for November 12, followed by a LEGO Mini-Pass and a new Fortnite Battle Pass on December 5.
The restructuring arrives during Fortnite’s ongoing Treasure Hunters season, which launched with the Fortnite v43.00 update on November 1. The December changes will affect how players receive premium progression rewards and subscription cosmetics as the game’s seasonal content continues.
Another addition is a permanent subscription-based XP bonus. Fortnite Crew members will earn 20% more Fortnite XP, while players without Crew who join their party will receive a 10% XP boost when playing together. Epic Games clarified that these bonuses cannot be stacked by having multiple Crew subscribers in the same party. Non-subscribing teammates receive the same 10% bonus regardless of how many Crew members are present.
The revised benefits shift Fortnite Crew away from its previous combination of fixed monthly currency rewards and exclusive cosmetics toward a system that rewards uninterrupted subscriptions. Players primarily interested in V-Bucks will receive a larger monthly allowance, while those who subscribed for exclusive monthly outfits will lose that recurring benefit after December.
Epic Games has confirmed that existing subscriptions will continue automatically when the changes take effect on December 5. Current members do not need to take any action, and their updated V-Bucks tier will be displayed in Fortnite’s Crew interface when the new system launches.
