Billion Road, Bandai Namco’s colorful digital board game released in 2020, has built a small but dedicated following thanks to its quirky characters, unpredictable gameplay, and family-friendly fun.

The title, handled by publisher Acttil in the West, offered players a unique spin on the board game genre both on PC and Nintendo Switch.

Now, the game is facing an important change, an announcement confirmed that a Billion road delisting will take place on Steam after September 30, 2025. While the Switch version has not been officially addressed, it is widely expected that it too may be removed around the same time.

Importance: The Billion Road delisting serves as a reminder that digital games can vanish due to licensing, urging players to act quickly and highlighting the fragility of niche titles in the industry.

Continuing Access After The Billion Road Delisting

According to Acttil, the Billion Road delisting is the result of its licensing agreement with Bandai Namco coming to an end. Players who already own the title will still be able to download and enjoy it, with online multiplayer functionality continuing after the removal.

However, the game will no longer be available for purchase once delisted. Acttil also noted that a final discount sale could arrive before September 30, giving players one last chance to grab the board game digitally.

Limited Physical Release Increases Digital Importance

Billion Road originally received only a small physical release on Nintendo Switch in Japan, making its digital availability particularly important for fans outside that region.

As the industry grows, players are increasingly encouraged to explore and enjoy games while they are available, before shifts in availability with the games we love.
