Now, it seems like the title is headed towards the Xbox Game Pass soon, as a renouned insider, Nate Drake, shared on ResetEra that based on his infomration, Mafia: Definitive Edition might arrive on the Xbox Game Pass next month in August.
Importance: Mafia: Definitive Edition would be a great start of the franchise on the Xbox Game Pass as it can bring in a wide audience towards the franchise, increasing the franchises’ popularity.
This would be a great addition to the Xbox Game Pass as the Mafia franchise is kind of an underrated gem in the gaming industry that has not had quite the popularity it has so rightfully deserved, but we hope that can change in the near future.
Even if this news turns out to be false, we hope that it can become a reality in the near future. We also hope to see Mafia: Definitive Edition 2 and Mafia 3 on the Xbox Game Pass after Mafia: Definitive Edition’s release on the subscription service.
This way Xbox Game Pass users would be able to experience the complete Mafia trilogy without having to buy any of the non available games on the service individually.
The presence of the Mafia franchise will increase the value provided by the Xbox Game Pass even more, especially, after the addition of Call of Duty to the subcription service recently.
