The Blood of Dawnwalker was Steam’s highest-grossing paid game for the week of September 1 through September 8, according to SteamDB’s latest weekly global sales chart. Rebel Wolves’ dark fantasy RPG finished ahead of Onimusha: Way of the Sword, WARDOGS, Bodycam and How to Fish when free-to-play products are excluded. The ranking gives Dawnwalker a strong first full-week sales indicator following its launch at the start of September.

Steam’s weekly top-seller rankings are based on revenue rather than the number of copies sold, so the chart should not be interpreted as a unit-sales leaderboard. SteamDB reproduces Valve’s weekly sales data and allows free products to be filtered out, producing the paid-only ranking cited here. Valve does not disclose the actual revenue or unit totals behind each position.

Dawnwalker launched on Steam on September 2, meaning almost the entire tracked period covers its opening week. The game is priced at $69.99 for the standard edition on Steam, with an $79.99 Eclipse Edition also available. SteamDB currently lists the game with more than 14,000 user reviews and an all-time concurrent-player peak of 78,188, reached on September 6, providing another indication of significant early PC interest.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is the debut project from Rebel Wolves, a Warsaw-based studio formed by developers whose previous credits include The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. Published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, the single-player action RPG follows Coen, a character who is human during the day and a vampire at night, in a 14th-century European setting. Its structure combines an open world with a limited in-game time system that forces players to decide how to spend the days and nights available to them.

Second place in the paid chart went to Onimusha: Way of the Sword, which launched on September 4. Capcom has already confirmed that Onimusha : Way of the Sword surpassed one million worldwide sales on its first day, making its high Steam position consistent with the broader launch performance reported by the publisher. Capcom’s figure covers all platforms rather than Steam alone, so it cannot be used to determine how many PC copies contributed to the weekly ranking.

WARDOGS placed third despite its full release being scheduled for September 10, indicating that pre-release purchases were already generating substantial Steam revenue during the measurement period. The tactical shooter had also climbed sharply on Steam’s seller rankings ahead of launch and has accumulated more than 150,000 followers according to SteamDB. Its position demonstrates why weekly revenue charts can include unreleased titles when paid pre-orders are available.

Bodycam took fourth place among paid products. Reissad Studio’s multiplayer body-camera shooter originally released in 2024 but was discounted during the period, helping push it back toward the top of Steam’s commercial rankings. How to Fish, Dazed Games’ lower-priced fishing title released on August 20, completed the paid top five after also ranking prominently during the previous week.

The movement compared with the previous Steam chart is particularly notable for Dawnwalker and Onimusha. During the August 25 to September 1 period, Dawnwalker sat at number 17 on SteamDB’s unfiltered weekly chart while still primarily collecting pre-release purchases, and Onimusha appeared at number 28 ahead of its September 4 launch. Both then moved to the top of the paid-only ranking once their release weeks were included.

Dawnwalker’s number-one position does not reveal its total Steam revenue or confirm how its PC sales compare with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It does, however, show that the game generated more Steam revenue during the September 1–8 period than every other paid product tracked in the filtered chart. With Onimusha taking second and WARDOGS reaching third before its own launch, the week’s rankings were dominated by newly released or imminent games rather than Steam’s older catalogue.
