Netmarble has expanded Bloomwalker to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch while also confirming that the cozy crafting adventure is officially part of the Ni no Kuni universe. The new platforms join the previously announced Xbox Series X|S and PC versions, significantly widening the game’s planned console release. Netmarble has not yet announced a final launch date.
The Ni no Kuni connection is the bigger surprise. Bloomwalker was originally revealed at Gamescom 2025 as a new crafting adventure from Netmarble Neo, the developer behind Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, but it was presented at the time as its own project rather than another entry connected to the wider franchise. During Xbox’s Tokyo Game Show 2026 presentation, Microsoft explicitly described Bloomwalker as now being part of the Ni no Kuni universe.
That confirmation also helps explain several elements that had already made Bloomwalker visually and thematically familiar to Ni no Kuni players. Its world is populated by small nature spirits, while the latest material refers to creatures including Higgledies and Familiars, terminology closely associated with Ni no Kuni. The game retains its own setting and premise, however, with the story taking place in the damaged world of Luminoa rather than simply repeating an existing Ni no Kuni storyline.

Players take the role of a Bloomwalker traveling through a world once shared peacefully by humans and spirits. Pollution has spread through Luminoa’s sanctuaries, corrupting the environment and driving its guardians into hostile forms. Rather than focusing primarily on destroying those creatures, the player’s role is to cleanse them and restore damaged areas, gradually returning life and color to the landscape.
The game’s moving house remains one of its defining features. Instead of constructing a permanent base and leaving it behind when exploring another region, players bring their home with them as they move between sanctuaries. Netmarble says the house develops new functions over the course of the adventure, helping players travel, craft and continue restoring the world.
A newly detailed Pocket Dimension expands that concept further. Entering through the house gives players access to a larger personal space where structures and facilities can be built and arranged without changing the compact appearance of the traveling home itself. Familiars and Higgledies can inhabit the space, while crafting and housing systems feed back into restoring settlements and strengthening relationships with characters encountered during the journey.
Bloomwalker was first shown publicly at Gamescom 2025, where Netmarble Neo demonstrated exploration, purification, crafting and combat. The original announcement described four main activities: traveling into unexplored areas, cleansing polluted land, gathering resources for crafting and decoration, and bonding with the small spirit companions accompanying the player. Netmarble has consistently positioned the project as a more relaxed alternative to survival-focused crafting games.
The newly confirmed PlayStation and Nintendo versions also clarify an intentionally broad platform announcement made when the game was revealed. Netmarble originally said Bloomwalker would release across PC and multiple consoles while specifically naming Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass. PS5, Switch 2 and Switch are now formally part of that lineup, bringing the game to all three major console ecosystems.
Bloomwalker will also support Xbox Play Anywhere between Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC. Its original Xbox announcement said it would be available through Game Pass, although Netmarble has not yet provided equivalent subscription or distribution details for the PlayStation and Nintendo versions.
No firm release date has been attached to the expanded platform announcement. Earlier promotional material offered conflicting indications about timing, while more recent official descriptions have avoided committing to a specific window. Netmarble’s current focus is instead on revealing more of Luminoa, the Pocket Dimension and Bloomwalker’s place within Ni no Kuni.
The confirmation changes Bloomwalker from a visually familiar spiritual cousin into an official extension of one of LEVEL-5’s best-known worlds. With PS5, Switch 2 and Switch now added alongside Xbox Series X|S and PC, the game’s eventual launch will also be substantially broader than its initial Xbox-focused reveal suggested.
