SNK has announced that Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will launch digitally for Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, 2026. The Switch 2 version was revealed alongside a Tokyo Revengers crossover bringing Manjiro “Mikey” Sano and Ken “Draken” Ryuguji to the fighting game as Season 3 DLC on the same day. Pre-orders for the new version are now open through the Nintendo eShop.
The Switch 2 release gives Nintendo players access to the full City of the Wolves fighting system, including its REV mechanics, rollback netcode and cross-platform online play. SNK is offering a Standard Edition containing the base game as well as a more comprehensive edition bundling the game with content from Season Passes 1, 2 and 3. A physical Switch 2 release is planned for January 21, 2027, following the October digital launch.
Players who pre-order the Switch 2 version will also receive an alternate costume for Mai Shiranui. SNK has not announced any major gameplay differences exclusive to Nintendo’s hardware, with the new release instead focused on bringing the existing fighter and its growing DLC roster to another platform. Detailed resolution and frame-rate targets for Switch 2 have not yet been published.
The Tokyo Revengers crossover is the larger content announcement accompanying the port. Mikey and Draken will become fully playable fighters on October 22, marking the first time City of the Wolves has released two DLC characters simultaneously. Both are being adapted around their fighting styles from the manga and anime, with character-specific moves, animations and introductions designed to fit the game’s existing combat systems.
Mikey enters South Town after being transported there through the power of the Sacred Scrolls, according to SNK’s crossover storyline. He becomes involved in the struggle surrounding Geese Howard’s legacy while searching for a way back to his own world. Draken follows after searching for the missing Mikey and is similarly pulled into South Town, giving the crossover a narrative explanation rather than presenting the pair solely as guest fighters.
The Japanese voice cast from the Tokyo Revengers anime is returning for the collaboration. Yu Hayashi voices Mikey, while Katsuya Fukunishi reprises his role as Draken. Their English performances are handled by Aleks Le and Sean Chiplock respectively.
Both characters form part of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Season 3, which has been adding fighters throughout the second half of 2026. Rick Strowd opened the season in July, followed by Duck King in August and Kim Kaphwan in September. Mikey and Draken occupy October’s slots, while Laocorn is scheduled for November and another unannounced character remains planned for December.
The crossover expands an already unusual guest roster for City of the Wolves. Earlier seasons have brought Street Fighter characters Ken and Chun-Li into South Town, while Season 2 also included Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star. SNK has increasingly used City of the Wolves as a platform for collaborations alongside returning Fatal Fury characters, and the Tokyo Revengers additions continue that approach with two characters originating outside traditional fighting games.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves originally launched in April 2025 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It revived the Fatal Fury series after more than two decades without a new main entry, combining returning characters such as Terry Bogard and Rock Howard with newcomers and the REV System, which governs offensive and defensive techniques through a dedicated meter.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version arrives more than a year after those original releases but includes access to the game’s expanded post-launch roster. Players purchasing an edition containing Season Pass 3 will receive Mikey and Draken as part of that package, while SNK also sells applicable DLC separately.
