A Batmobile 2022 bundle has reportedly been added to Fortnite in the latest update, bringing the vehicle from The Batman into Epic Games’ wider cross-game car system. Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR says the bundle is now present in the game’s files, following earlier evidence that the Batmobile 2022 had been tagged for cross-game ownership in Rocket League. Epic Games has not yet formally announced the Fortnite release or provided an Item Shop date.

The vehicle originally debuted in Rocket League in March 2022 as part of a licensed bundle based on Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Psyonix described it as an American muscle-inspired version of the Batmobile and sold it with a dedicated body, wheels, boost, trail, paint finish, Reel Life decal and a Batman Goal Explosion. The car uses a Dominus hitbox in Rocket League and was designed around the movie vehicle driven by Robert Pattinson’s Batman.

Fortnite has supported cross-game vehicle ownership with Rocket League since 2023. Under that system, selected car bodies, decals and wheels owned in one game can automatically appear in the other when both are connected to the same Epic Games account. Epic has continued expanding the list over time, meaning older Rocket League vehicles can become eligible for Fortnite without being newly created from scratch.

That appears to be what is happening with the Batmobile 2022. Earlier this month, Rocket League files reportedly marked the car for cross-game ownership, strongly suggesting it was being prepared for Fortnite. The latest update now appears to contain the corresponding Fortnite bundle data, moving the vehicle another step closer to an actual release.

The exact contents of the Fortnite bundle have not yet been independently detailed. Rocket League’s original 2022 package included several vehicle-specific cosmetic components, but Fortnite does not always carry every item from an older Rocket League bundle in exactly the same form. Pricing is also unknown, and there is currently no confirmed V-Bucks cost attached to the leaked Fortnite listing.

The Batmobile 2022 would join an expanding lineup of licensed vehicle cosmetics in Fortnite. Epic has already brought multiple Rocket League cars into Fortnite through shared ownership, while branded vehicles from manufacturers and entertainment properties have also appeared through the Item Shop. The vehicle system allows players to equip owned car bodies in supported Fortnite experiences rather than being limited to Rocket Racing.

Batman content has also been particularly active in Fortnite during 2026. Epic introduced a Bat Cave point of interest, Batman-themed equipment and additional DC cosmetics over the summer, while the 1989 Batmobile has already been available in Fortnite. The Batmobile 2022 would therefore expand the existing Batman vehicle lineup rather than mark the franchise’s first appearance in Fortnite cars.

The new vehicle also arrives during a period of heavy crossover activity. Fortnite’s current update is already associated with multiple licensed collaborations, including the Kingdom Hearts cosmetic lineup and other character and vehicle additions uncovered through datamining. A separate Persona 5 vehicle leak has similarly pointed to more crossover cars entering Fortnite’s growing vehicle ecosystem.

For now, the Batmobile 2022 should still be treated as leaked Fortnite content rather than an officially announced Item Shop release. The vehicle itself is real and already exists in Rocket League, while Epic’s cross-game ownership system provides an established route for it to transfer into Fortnite. What remains unconfirmed is when the bundle will go live, how much it will cost and exactly which cosmetics will be included.

If the current files translate into a normal Item Shop release, Fortnite players should soon be able to add the 2022 Batmobile to their car collection, while existing Rocket League owners may receive compatible items automatically through cross-game ownership. Epic Games has not yet announced those details.
