FUR Squadron Phoenix will launch for Xbox Series X|S on December 6, 2026, developer Raptor Claw Games has announced. The arcade-style space shooter, originally released for PC in February, will arrive on Microsoft’s consoles with all major post-launch updates and two Xbox-exclusive ship skins.
Raptor Claw Games confirmed the release date through its official social media account on October 28. The Xbox version will include the original roguelite campaign, Advanced Mode, Boss Gauntlets and Full Range Combat missions introduced through updates to the PC release.
The developer also confirmed two exclusive cosmetic additions for Xbox players: Kiro’s Master Ship and Axel’s 360 Ship.
FUR Squadron Phoenix is an on-rails space shooter inspired by classic arcade combat games such as Star Fox 64. Players control a pilot undergoing specialized training through virtual environments while preparing to defend the Chimera Federation against a growing threat.
Gameplay combines traditional on-rails shooting with roguelite progression. Players can unlock abilities, improve their ship’s statistics and use weapons ranging from guided missiles to powerful energy beams and large-scale explosive attacks.
The game features combat encounters across space, aerial and ocean environments, including battles against enemy fleets and large bosses. Players can also complete challenges involving fellow squadron members to unlock additional conversations and upgrades for the Overdrive ability.
One of the more substantial additions included in the Xbox release is the Full Range Combat campaign introduced through the game’s August 2026 version 2.0 update. Unlike the original on-rails missions, these encounters introduce a different combat format and expand the story with an epilogue.
Advanced Mode and boss-focused challenges provide additional activities beyond the main campaign, giving Xbox players access to content that was added to the Steam version after its initial launch.
FUR Squadron Phoenix first launched on Steam on February 18, 2026, where it is available for $19.99. An official Xbox price has not yet been confirmed.
The December release adds another independent title to the Xbox Series X|S lineup, alongside upcoming games such as the science-fiction survival adventure Magenta Down, which is scheduled for early 2027.
