Rockstar Games has reportedly reminded performers involved with Grand Theft Auto VI that they are not permitted to publicly disclose their participation until the game launches on November 19, 2026. The information comes from GTA VI O’clock, which discussed what it described as exclusive information concerning Rockstar’s agreements with actors during its September 16 episode. Rockstar itself has not publicly announced the game’s cast or commented on the reported reminder.

According to GTA VI O’clock hosts James Jarvis and Dan Dawkins, performers recently received a message reiterating that their non-disclosure agreements remain in force. The reported message reminded recipients to observe their NDA and said November 19 remains the date on which they may announce their involvement. Because the communication has not been published directly by Rockstar, the details should be treated as reported information rather than an official company announcement.

The timing follows actor Stephen Root publicly confirming that he appears in GTA VI. During an interview surrounding the 2026 Emmy Awards, Root said players would see him in the game and suggested that fans had already recognized his distinctive voice from earlier promotional material. Root appears to portray Brian Heder, one of the characters Rockstar has already officially introduced, although Rockstar has continued to omit performer names from the character profiles on GTA VI’s website.

That approach has kept much of GTA VI’s cast uncertain despite years of speculation surrounding the actors behind Jason Duval, Lucia Caminos and the supporting characters shown by Rockstar. Numerous names have circulated through fan investigations, résumés, voice comparisons and alleged production connections, but Rockstar has not formally attached performers to those roles. If GTA VI O’clock’s information is accurate, that lack of confirmation is deliberate and could continue until players are actually able to access the game.

The reported November 19 restriction also matches GTA VI’s official launch date. Rockstar currently lists the game for November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and its increasingly active marketing campaign continues to use the same date. The company recently announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album for November 19, featuring 34 original songs and a range of physical releases alongside the game.

Keeping cast identities private would be consistent with Rockstar’s tightly controlled approach to GTA VI information. Even as the publisher has released trailers, an extended gameplay presentation, character profiles and new details about Leonida, it has revealed relatively little about the performers responsible for bringing its characters to life. That has allowed speculation around Jason and Lucia in particular to persist without an official answer.

The reported reminder is also notable because it appears to distinguish between Rockstar introducing fictional characters and the performers being permitted to identify themselves. Brian Heder, Lucia, Jason and several other characters already have biographies and official artwork, yet Rockstar’s own material stops short of crediting actors. Under the reported NDA terms, performers themselves would also be unable to close that information gap until launch day.

There is still room for Rockstar to reveal members of the cast through its own marketing before November 19, since an NDA restricting performers from independently announcing their participation would not necessarily prevent the company from making those announcements itself. GTA VI O’clock’s report specifically concerns what performers are allowed to disclose, not a commitment that Rockstar will keep every actor secret until release.

For now, however, Root stands out as one of the rare performers to publicly acknowledge appearing in GTA VI. Unless Rockstar changes its marketing plans or other actors speak ahead of schedule, the game’s complete cast may remain largely unconfirmed until November 19, when GTA VI is scheduled to launch worldwide.
