Marvel’s Wolverine has suffered another major pre-release leak, with hundreds of screenshots reportedly spreading online alongside additional extracted assets and cinematics from the game. The material appears to originate from footage captured from an early retail copy that was livestreamed before release, combined with files reportedly extracted from a near-final build. The leak contains significant story spoilers, so this article will not reproduce or detail the game’s ending, post-credits material or other major narrative reveals.

A September 8 post on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours claimed that more than 300 screenshots had been collected from a now-deleted TikTok livestream covering a substantial portion of Marvel’s Wolverine. The albums reportedly include suits, claws, combat encounters, boss fights and major story scenes, with the original Reddit post subsequently removed. Separate discussion and earlier reporting already established that a player using the name blackmisk1 had been broadcasting the game from a retail PS5 disc across Twitch, TikTok and Kick several days earlier.

That retail leak is important because it distinguishes the latest material from the much older development files exposed during Insomniac Games’ 2023 breach. Previous leaked builds were unfinished and dated years before release, whereas the footage circulating this month appears to come from retail or near-retail code ahead of Marvel’s Wolverine’s September 15 launch. That makes the screenshots more representative of the finished game, although day-one updates could still change visual elements, bugs or other details.

The newly circulated material also appears to expand on the earlier leak detailing 32 Wolverine suits and claw variants. Screenshots reportedly show numerous costume combinations in actual gameplay as well as additional scenes involving locations and characters that Insomniac has not fully shown through official marketing. The volume of the images makes this one of the largest public leaks from the retail game so far.

Dataminers are also reportedly examining game files associated with the leaked build. The Reddit post claimed extracted assets have made it possible to reconstruct or view cinematics, including material tied to late-game story sequences, while additional lists of unused or cut content are also circulating. Those claims should still be treated cautiously because individual extracted files can lack context, and unused assets do not necessarily describe content present in the finished campaign.

This follows several other Wolverine leaks in the final weeks before launch. A reported 42-trophy list surfaced with references to bosses, collectibles and story objectives, while PS5 backend information has pointed to a download size of roughly 79.36 GB. Together with retail discs appearing in the wild, the game is now particularly vulnerable to full-story spoilers spreading before September 15.

Insomniac has already revealed substantially more of the game through official channels in recent months. Its August features trailer detailed Wolverine’s Rage system, Techniques, Adaptations, Nightmare Doors, New Game Plus, Mission Replay and Photo Mode, while the launch trailer provided additional story and combat footage. The studio has also confirmed that Marvel’s Wolverine is a single-player, narrative-driven action-adventure rather than an open-world game.

The official story follows Logan three years after leaving Team X, as he becomes involved again in a conflict surrounding mutants and Bolivar Trask. Insomniac has publicly shown locations including Canada, Tokyo and Madripoor, as well as several allies and enemies, but has deliberately kept major late-game developments out of its marketing. The newly leaked material reportedly goes considerably beyond that officially revealed information.

Players hoping to experience the game without spoilers may therefore want to be particularly cautious on social media, video platforms and discussion forums during the final week before release. Screenshots, boss encounters and story clips are now circulating outside their original sources even after takedowns, making containment increasingly difficult.

Marvel’s Wolverine launches exclusively for PlayStation 5 on September 15, 2026. With retail copies already in circulation and hundreds of screenshots reportedly extracted from leaked footage, the remaining days before launch are likely to bring further unofficial material, but major plot details should still be treated as spoilers rather than ordinary pre-release information.
