The next Lollipop Chainsaw game will make its first playable public appearance at Tokyo Game Show 2026 later this month. NADA Holdings has confirmed that the completely new entry in the zombie action series will be available at the SEGA / ATLUS booth during the event, which runs from September 17 to September 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. The project still does not have an official title, release date or announced platforms.
The playable demo represents the clearest look at the project since a completely new Lollipop Chainsaw game was announced in July 2025. NADA Holdings and Dragami Games said at the time that they were jointly moving forward with both a new game and an anime project based on the franchise. The companies have emphasized that the new title is intended to preserve the identity and tone of the original series rather than simply reusing its name for an unrelated project.
Development responsibilities have also become clearer ahead of TGS. NADA Holdings is leading the project in partnership with Dragami Games, which licenses the Lollipop Chainsaw property, while JP Universe is handling development. JP Universe was founded by former Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata in 2022, adding another established Japanese game developer to the project’s production team.

Visitors who play the TGS demo will receive an original keychain while supplies last, while attendees at the booth can also pick up a Lollipop Chainsaw logo sticker. Official series ambassador and cosplayer PeachMilky is scheduled to appear dressed as protagonist Juliet Starling. SEGA is also serving as the new game’s distribution partner in Japan and Southeast Asia, with the title appearing in the publisher’s partner section at TGS.
The companies are planning two stage presentations during the show as well. A Lollipop Chainsaw New Project event will take place at the SEGA / ATLUS booth on September 18 from 11:40 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. JST. A second presentation is scheduled for the Tokyo Game Show main stage on September 19 from 9:40 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. JST, where representatives are expected to discuss the upcoming game in greater detail.
That main-stage event is particularly notable because organizers are explicitly teasing a major announcement related to the new project. The presentation is set to feature the game’s director, identified as Nasu, alongside JP Universe CEO Hajime Tabata and other development representatives. A promotional video highlighting the world and appeal of Lollipop Chainsaw is also planned, meaning TGS should provide considerably more information than the project has received since its initial announcement.
Lollipop Chainsaw originally launched in 2012 and follows cheerleader and zombie hunter Juliet Starling as she fights through an outbreak using her chainsaw. The franchise returned in 2024 with Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, a modernized version of the original game released across PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC. Dragami Games said in June 2026 that RePOP had surpassed 400,000 copies sold, while NADA Holdings now says the wider Lollipop Chainsaw series has exceeded 1.5 million units worldwide.
The upcoming title is a completely new game rather than another remaster or edition of RePOP. However, its gameplay structure, story, cast and relationship to the 2012 original remain undisclosed, and the companies have yet to confirm whether Juliet will again serve as the playable protagonist despite her prominent role in the TGS promotion.
That uncertainty should begin to clear later this month. With a playable build, two stage events and a specifically teased major announcement all scheduled for Tokyo Game Show 2026, the event is shaping up to be the first substantial reveal of what the next Lollipop Chainsaw game actually is.
