NVIDIA RTX 5080 Disappears From US Marketplace

NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5080 has disappeared from the company’s official US Marketplace, leaving the RTX 5070 Ti as the highest-end graphics card listed on the platform. The change, observed on October 30, 2026, follows the removal of the flagship RTX 5090 approximately two weeks earlier. Neither graphics card currently appears among the available GPU categories, although NVIDIA has not announced that either model has been discontinued.

The US Marketplace’s graphics card selection now includes only five GPU categories: RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5070, RTX 5060 Ti, RTX 5060 and RTX 5050. The RTX 5080 is absent from the filters, and graphics cards based on the GPU from NVIDIA’s manufacturing partners are no longer displayed. The RTX 5090 is similarly missing, despite briefly returning to the marketplace earlier this month.

The disappearance is significant because it affects NVIDIA’s own consumer sales platform rather than an individual retailer. Customers browsing the company’s US Marketplace currently have no listed purchasing options for either of its two most powerful GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards.

The removal appears to be regional rather than global. NVIDIA’s UK Marketplace continues to display RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 products, with reports identifying 13 RTX 5080 listings and two RTX 5090 listings. However, the presence of a product listing does not necessarily mean that the graphics card is immediately available for purchase.

NVIDIA’s official GeForce RTX 5080 product page also remains online, advertising a starting price of $999. The continued presence of the product page contrasts with the absence of the GPU from the company’s US Marketplace, where no RTX 5080 models are currently listed.

The development follows a sharp increase in RTX 5080 prices at major US retailers, where available cards were approaching $2,000 on October 28. That represents almost twice NVIDIA’s original $999 launch price, illustrating the widening gap between the manufacturer’s advertised starting price and actual retail offers.

Pricing pressure also extends to the RTX 5070 Ti. NVIDIA’s US Marketplace lists seven RTX 5070 Ti graphics cards priced between $1,269.99 and $1,499.99, substantially above the GPU’s original $749 starting price. Although the RTX 5070 Ti remains the highest-performing GPU category displayed on the platform, its listed prices are considerably higher than its launch positioning.

The RTX 5090’s earlier disappearance provides additional context. The flagship was removed from NVIDIA’s US Marketplace around October 16 before briefly reappearing through a listing priced at $5,599, compared with its original $1,999 MSRP. That listing subsequently disappeared.

NVIDIA has already stated that the RTX 5090 has not been discontinued, despite ongoing supply concerns. The company has not provided a comparable public explanation for the RTX 5080’s removal from its US sales platform.

The timing also coincides with unconfirmed reports that NVIDIA could introduce an RTX 5080 variant equipped with 24GB of graphics memory, replacing the existing 16GB configuration. Reports suggest a potential introduction between December 2026 and January 2027, but NVIDIA has not confirmed the proposed model, its specifications or any release schedule. There is currently no established connection between those rumors and the Marketplace changes.

Importantly, removing a graphics card from an online marketplace does not establish that manufacturing has stopped. The disappearance could reflect unavailable inventory across participating sellers, changes to product listings or other distribution decisions. NVIDIA has not publicly identified the reason for the RTX 5080’s absence.

For US PC gamers considering a high-end GPU upgrade, the immediate consequence is a reduction in purchasing options through NVIDIA’s official Marketplace. The RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 remain absent from its current US listings, while their production status and potential return dates remain unconfirmed.
