HoYoverse has announced that Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.7, titled “Now, Lay Laughter to All Stars,” will launch on November 11, 2026, introducing the playable five-star character Aeon Aha and concluding the Planarcadia storyline. The update will also add a new character progression system called Affinitive Eidolon, six character reruns and several gameplay events.
The announcement was made on October 30 alongside a new trailer showcasing the upcoming story and gameplay additions. Version 4.7 will be available across the game’s existing platforms, including PC, PlayStation 5, iOS and Android.
Aeon Aha Joins the Playable Roster
The biggest addition in Version 4.7 is Aeon Aha, a limited five-star character following the Path of Elation. Previously established as the creator of the Phantasmoon Games, Aha will become playable as the Planarcadia storyline reaches its conclusion.
Aha introduces several combat mechanics designed around Elation characters. During battles, Aha can enhance the Path of Elation, allowing other characters following that path to access unique combat abilities.
The character also introduces a mechanic called “Aha Instant,” which accelerates the execution of Elation Skills. Throughout combat, the entire party accumulates Wishpower for Aha. Once enough Wishpower has been generated, players can activate Aha’s Ultimate to deal Elation damage to all enemies.
Another ability allows attacks from allied characters to directly reduce enemies’ maximum HP, providing an additional way to weaken opponents during encounters.
These mechanics establish Aha as a character capable of influencing the entire team’s combat performance rather than relying exclusively on individual attacks.
Planarcadia Storyline Reaches Its Finale
Version 4.7 will conclude the Planarcadia story arc through the Final Phantasmoon Games, an event centered on the awakening of an ancient leviathan known as the Voracity.
According to HoYoverse’s official announcement, the creature has remained sealed for more than a thousand Amber Eras through Aha’s Phantasmoon Games. With the Voracity approaching a full awakening, Aha organizes a final confrontation intended to prevent it from consuming the universe.
The story brings together eight Supplicants aboard the Starfroster, a cake-shaped spacecraft that will travel across the stars as part of a plan to lure the creature into battle.
Aha will participate directly in the confrontation alongside the Trailblazer, bringing the ongoing Planarcadia narrative to its conclusion.
The update will also introduce a new musical track titled “Ex Nihilo” for the finale. An animated short, “A Joyful Funeral Beneath the Moon,” is scheduled to release on November 11 alongside Version 4.7.
New Affinitive Eidolon Progression System
HoYoverse is introducing Affinitive Eidolon, a character progression system that grants additional combat abilities to selected existing characters.
Players who own an eligible character and unlock their corresponding Affinitive Eidolon will gain access to new abilities and character-specific combat enhancements.
The first three characters supported by the system will be Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae and Jing Yuan.
All three will receive exclusive combat buffs through their Affinitive Eidolons, expanding their capabilities beyond their existing skill sets.
The system introduces another progression option for players who already own these characters, while giving returning characters additional combat functionality.
Version 4.7 Character Reruns Confirmed
Alongside Aha’s introduction, HoYoverse has confirmed six limited five-star character reruns across the update’s two phases.
The first half of Version 4.7 will feature Silver Wolf LV.999, Sparxie and Yao Guang.
The second half will bring back Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae and Jing Yuan, coinciding with their inclusion in the new Affinitive Eidolon system.
HoYoverse has confirmed the character lineup but has not specified an exact starting date for the second phase in its October 30 announcement.
New Events and Currency Wars Season 2
Version 4.7 will introduce several activities alongside the main story content.
“The Fluffy Movie: Overheated” will feature a dessert-shop management activity in which players assist Aha and earn Gold Coins.
A new combat-focused event, “Interastral Peace Gala: Road to Fame,” will also become available during the update.
Meanwhile, the permanent Currency Wars gameplay mode will receive its second season, titled “Voyage Into the Canvas,” bringing a broader update to the existing mode.
Players participating in the “Phantasia Showstage” event will have an opportunity to obtain Aha’s limited “Star Lotto” outfit and additional rewards.
These events will give players activities outside the main story while introducing new rewards and opportunities to experiment with combat systems.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.7 is scheduled to launch on November 11, 2026. The update combines the conclusion of Planarcadia with a new playable Aeon, character enhancements and additions to the game’s permanent and limited-time activities.
