The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake appears likely to cost $59.99 digitally in the United States, following a premature price listing on Nintendo’s own Australian storefront. The Nintendo Store briefly displayed the Switch 2 game at AU$94.95 for a digital copy before the pricing disappeared. That figure matches the Australian pricing tier Nintendo currently uses for first-party games that sell digitally for $59.99 in the US.

The listing provides significantly stronger evidence than a retailer placeholder because the AU$94.95 figure appeared directly through Nintendo’s Australian Store. However, Nintendo’s US product page does not currently display a price, so $59.99 should still be treated as an expected US figure rather than an officially announced one. The same distinction applies to reports that the physical edition will cost $69.99.

The physical estimate comes from Nintendo’s current pricing structure for Switch 2 software. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, for example, is priced at AU$94.95 digitally and AU$109.95 physically in Australia, while the corresponding US prices are $59.99 digitally and $69.99 for the physical edition. Since Ocarina of Time appeared at exactly the same AU$94.95 digital price, it strongly suggests Nintendo intends to place the remake in that same pricing tier.

That would make the physical edition $10 more expensive than the digital version if Nintendo follows the same model in the United States. Nintendo began using lower digital prices for some new first-party Switch 2 releases earlier this year rather than simply pricing both formats identically. Until Nintendo or major US retailers publish the final Ocarina of Time listings, though, $69.99 remains an inference based on that established pattern rather than a confirmed price.

The pricing information surfaced during a major week for the remake. Nintendo has now confirmed that Ocarina of Time launches November 5 on Nintendo Switch 2, following its latest presentation of the project. The remake brings the Nintendo 64 adventure to modern hardware with extensively updated visuals while retaining the recognizable structure and locations of the original game.

Nintendo also showed several gameplay changes designed to modernize how Ocarina of Time controls. The Switch 2 version features free camera movement, a dedicated jump action and fully voiced cinematic sequences, among other revisions. Those additions go beyond a straightforward visual remaster, while Nintendo has continued to describe the project as a new version of the classic rather than a simple emulated re-release.

There is still some uncertainty surrounding exactly which studio is leading development. A separate retailer listing recently named Monolith Soft as the remake’s developer, but Nintendo has not officially confirmed that attribution. Store metadata can be entered incorrectly, meaning the developer listing requires more caution than information appearing directly through Nintendo’s own storefront.

The AU$94.95 listing is also notable because it positions Ocarina of Time below some of Nintendo’s higher-priced Switch 2 releases. A $59.99 digital price would place the remake in a mid-tier first-party bracket rather than at $69.99 or $79.99 digitally. Price alone does not establish the project’s scale, but it gives buyers a clearer idea of how Nintendo may be positioning the remake commercially.

Nintendo Australia’s listing reportedly disappeared after being noticed, and the US Nintendo Store still does not show a final price at the time of writing. The evidence therefore supports $59.99 as the likely US digital price rather than establishing it beyond doubt.

For now, the confirmed storefront information is the AU$94.95 digital price that briefly appeared in Australia. Based on Nintendo’s matching regional pricing for comparable Switch 2 titles, that points strongly toward $59.99 digitally in the United States and $69.99 physically. Nintendo has yet to formally publish those US prices.
