Phantom Blade Zero has reached 431,541 concurrent players on Steam, establishing a new peak for the action RPG shortly after its PC launch on October 29, 2026. SteamDB recorded the milestone within hours of release, placing S-GAME’s martial arts title among the most-played games on Valve’s platform during its opening day.
The milestone was announced through SteamDB’s official social media account and is independently reflected in its Steam player charts. At the time of the recorded peak, Phantom Blade Zero had surpassed 400,000 simultaneous players, demonstrating substantial initial engagement among PC players.
The figure represents players running the game simultaneously rather than total sales, unique players or copies sold. It also excludes PlayStation 5 users, meaning the Steam numbers reflect only part of the game’s overall launch activity. Concurrent-player records can continue changing as more players enter the game throughout its release period.

SteamDB also recorded a 76.26% rating for Phantom Blade Zero as early user reviews accumulated. Its tracked review data showed approximately 79.2% positive reviews across 1,979 submissions, with the platform’s weighted rating calculation producing a slightly lower percentage.
That early reception suggests a generally positive response from Steam players, although the relatively small review sample means the rating could change substantially as more users complete the game and submit their opinions. The reception follows early critical reviews praising the combat system and boss encounters while raising concerns about the story and technical issues.
The launch also comes alongside technical updates for the PC version. S-GAME prepared a 5 GB day-one patch addressing ray tracing performance and NVIDIA driver compatibility, with the developer recommending an older GeForce driver instead of version 621.01.
Phantom Blade Zero’s opening-day peak also exceeds the 397,905 concurrent Steam players recorded during Aion 2's global launch. The comparison highlights the scale of Phantom Blade Zero’s initial Steam audience, although the two titles have different release models and player distributions.
Developed by S-GAME Studio and published by S-GAME Publishing, Phantom Blade Zero is a single-player action RPG built with Unreal Engine 5. It combines martial arts combat with a dark fantasy setting inspired by Chinese wuxia fiction.
SteamDB’s figures establish a substantial launch-day milestone, but they do not yet indicate how well Phantom Blade Zero will retain its audience over the following days and weeks. Its longer-term Steam performance and user-review trends will provide a clearer picture of player engagement beyond the initial release surge.
